Training program Management and Environmental Technology for eight junior managers from Chile, Argentina and Columbia on behalf of the Federal State of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany 03rd of September to 17th of November, 2012

Background

In the past the Ministry for Economics of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate organized study tours for representatives of companies of environmental technology, chemical industry, automotive suppliers and mechanical engineering to Chile and actually this year to Argentina in order to investigate the possibilities for economic cooperation. To promote sustainable foreign trade relationships with industrial companies in Chile, Argentina and Columbia, junior managers working in the area of environmental technology, mechanical engineering, automotive suppliers, chemical industry or agricultural engineering will be invited to Rhineland-Palatinate to participate in a two and a half months training program. The offer includes qualified lectures, company visits during the theoretical part and in-company internship for the participants.

Objectives

The participants of this training program will

 improve their knowledge in business administration and enterprise management (i. e. marketing / sales promotion, export promotion, environmental studies)  become acquainted with work procedures in German industries  have the possibility to get in contact with a German company  and the program supports the foreign trade relations between Rhineland-Palatinate and Chile, Argentina and Columbia.

Participants

Eight junior managers working with companies will be invited to Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany provided that participants have a graduate degree, at least two years working experience and good English language skills. The age limit is 35 years. Language

The training program will be offered in English.

Schedule

1 day Introduction with GIZ GmbH in Mainz

4 weeks theoretical training in the parts of management, marketing / sales promotion, foreign trade, quality management and environmental . studies Organisation of 3 one day study tours to different companies In Rhineland-Palatinate.

7 weeks in-company internship ( practical part ) in Rhineland-Palatinate

1 day Evaluation of the program, certificates and future activities

Start of the program

The training program will start in September 2012

Costs

The State of Rhineland-Palatinate will cover the cost of lodging, as well as transfers of the participants during their stay in Rhineland-Palatinate. The participants will also receive a scholarship (daily allowance) and insurance covering.
