NOTICE FOR EXHIBITION ASSISTANTS “Autumn 2014”

Sotheby’s Hong Kong Limited, a reputable international fine art auction house is seeking temporary exhibition assistants for the Autumn 2014 exhibitions and auctions during 30 September 2014 to 8 October 2014.

1. Main Duties & Responsibilities a) To provide the highest quality services to customers/visitors entering the exhibition. b) To assist exhibition set up and closure. c) To assist the client services team. d) To help our staff at auction and collection. e) To help our administration & accounts offices.

You may be assigned to work in more than one department during your employment. We will advise you of your assignment during the training session. The assignment will be subject to change according to business needs.

3 Oct (Fri) Exhibition, Press call & Cocktail 09:00 – 21:00

4 Oct (Sat) Exhibition, Auction & Collection 09:00 – 20:00

5 Oct (Sun) Exhibition, Auction & Collection 09:00 – 22:00

6 Oct (Mon) Exhibition, Auction & Collection 09:00 – 22:00

7 Oct (Tue) Exhibition, Auction & Collection 09:00 – 22:00

8 Oct (Wed) Auction & Collection 09:00 – 22:00 Priorities will be given to those who are available on 3, 6 & 7 Oct and can work at least 4 days.

4. Training All new hires are compulsory to attend an 1-hour training session

5. Dress Code Business attire, dark suits, plain white shirt & plain black shoes. (Jeans, T-shirt, sportswear and sandal are not allowed)

6. Remuneration a) HK$45 per hour (1/4 hr interval will count after every complete hour). b) HK$50 per hour will be paid to candidates who worked in our last 4 consecutive sales i.e. from Oct 2011 till Apr 2014 c) HK$60 per hour will be paid to candidates who worked in our last 6 consecutive sales i.e. from Oct 2010 till Apr 2014 c) You are required to sign IN and OUT to be eligible for the day’s pay. d) Lunch will be provided should your day required to start before 10am . e) Dinner will be provided should your day required to work after 8pm.
