Dear Ms. Cadman: We would like to express our interest in the former library in Oxford Centre. My fiance and I would be interested in purchasing this building for use as our first home, if it could be re-zoned for residential use. We would renovate the exsisting building to suit our needs, while still the main structure in tact. As this building was once the school house we feel that it should maintain it's structural integrity. We are interested in this particular location because Paul (son of William and Betty Hampson) works full time on the family farm, located just east of the library on Firehall Road. The Hampson farm has been part of the community in Oxford Centre for generations. Paul and I plan to eventually run the farm ourselves, and feel that we would be hard pressed to find any property more perfect than that at the former library. We are concerned that if we do not find suitable property in or near Oxford Centre we will be forced to purchase a home in Woodstock. This would not only make it difficult for us to run the farm, but might interfere with Paul's position as a Volunteer Firefighter with Oxford Centre - which he has come to enjoy very much. In closing, we hope that no matter what decision council makes that it's members will bear in mind the interests of this small community as well as the historical significance of the library and former school house. Thank you kindly for your time and thoughtful consideration of our suggestions.

Yours truly,

Jessie Doogan and Paul Hampson
