[4877] 2 1 Whereas, in the third and fourth quarters, the Lions and the 2 Seahawks countered touchdowns, with sophomore quarterback 3 Drayton Arnold leading the Seahawks in a memorable final drive 4 in one of his best games of the season; and 5 6 Whereas, Daniel tied the score with a 5yard touchdown run with 7 only four minutes left in the game, but in the final minutes of play, 8 Seahawk kicker Sean Huggins gave the Lions a parting shot when 9 he lofted a 22yard field goal to seal the school’s seventh state 10 championship title; and 11 12 Whereas, in a sport that demands strength, expertise, and 13 determination, Head Coach Mickey Wilson and his skilled 14 coaching staff capitalized on their own athletic ability and training 15 to build a championship team and teach these athletes lessons that 16 will prove invaluable through life both on and off the gridiron; and 17 18 Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of 19 Representatives appreciate the pride and recognition that the 20 Myrtle Beach High School football players have brought to their 21 school and their community and look to hear of their continued 22 accomplishments in the days ahead. Now, therefore, 23 24 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives: 25 26 That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, 27 by this resolution, recognize and honor the Myrtle Beach High 28 School football team, coaches, and school officials for an 29 outstanding season and congratulate them for winning the 2013 30 Class AAA State Championship title. 31 32 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to 33 Principal John Washburn and Coach Mickey Wilson. 34 XX 35
