The following workplace check is to ensure the safety of our students, give the workplace an understanding of the programme and confirm the rights and the responsibilities for everyone involved in the programme

 I agree to give the above mentioned student a workplace orientation.

 I agree to explain any OHS procedures and processes associated with the workplace

 I agree to monitor the student’s absences and will contact the School directly on 9304 5588 should the student fail to arrive without contacting the workplace prior to the “work day”.

 I agree to check the students log book daily, give feedback when required and sign documents that students have written to confirm evidence of duties carried out by the student.

 I agree that the student will have a direct supervisor at all times. This supervisor can change on a daily basis, but the student will be advised who their supervisor is prior to commencing work.

 I agree to be available for progress meetings arranged at everyone’s convenience between the supervisor and the Careers and Vocational Education Coordinator. It is not essential for the student to be present, although it would be preferred.

Should there be an issue with the student, the resolution process should be: Step 1. Try to resolve the issue within the workplace via the supervisor. If unresolved proceed to Step 2. Step 2. Contact the Careers and Vocational Education Coordinator to resolve the issue. If unresolved proceed to Step 3. Step 3. Student is removed from the workplace. Any other measures required will be taken.
