Ams: Beginning Timed Writing Grade Scale

AMS: BEGINNING TIMED WRITING GRADE SCALE NWAM (After Errors) Grade Students will start with a 28-29 A+ = 20 Points basic timed writing and 26-27 A = 19 Points earn a beginning grade. 24-25 A- = 18 Points 22-23 B+ = 17.5 Points Graded timed writings will be 20-21 B = 17 Points taken at Interim and grade card times. 18-19 B- = 16 Points 16-17 C+ = 15.5 Points Students’ goal is to show a 14-15 C = 15 Points 10% increase in NWAM to 12-13 C- = 14 Points maintain the same grade, and 10-11 D+ = 13.5 Points a 20% increase to raise their 8-9 D = 13 Points grade by one degree for the 6-7 D- = 12 Points first Interim grade. 1-5 F = 11 Points

AMS: 9-WEEK TIMED WRITING GRADE SCALE NWAM (After Errors) Grade Students will take a timed 33-34 A+ = 20 Points writing at the end of the first 31-32 A = 19 Points 9-weeks and receive a grade 29-30 A- = 18 Points based on this scale. It will be 27-28 B+ = 17.5 Points averaged into the 9-week 25-26 B = 17 Points grade on the grade card! 23-24 B- = 16 Points Students’ goal is to show a 21-22 C+ = 15.5 Points 10% increase in NWAM to 19-20 C = 15 Points maintain the same grade, and 17-18 C- = 14 Points a 20% increase to raise their 15-16 D+ = 13.5 Points grade by one degree for the 13-14 D = 13 Points second Interim grade. 11-12 D- = 12 Points 1-10 F = 11 Points AMS: SEMESTER TIMED WRITING GRADE SCALE NWAM (After Errors) Grade 41-42 A+ = 20 Points 39-40 A = 19 Points 37-38 A- = 18 Points Students will take a timed 35-36 B+ = 17.5 Points writing at the end of the 33-34 B = 17 Points second 9-weeks (semester) and receive a grade based on 31-32 B- = 16 Points this scale. It will be averaged 29-30 C+ = 15.5 Points into the 9-week grade on the 27-28 C = 15 Points grade card! 25-26 C- = 14 Points 23-24 D+ = 13.5 Points 21-22 D = 13 Points 19-20 D- = 12 Points 1-18 F = 11 Points
