Title: ESTI specifications reference for smart card in IPTV terminal device

1 Introduction

Upon requests for ETSI smart card specification reference from the working document “FG IPTV- DOC-0093” in the fourth FG IPTV meeting, the respective technical specifications information we check as below:

. ETSI TS 102 225 "Secured packet structure for UICC based applications"

. ETSI TS 102 226 "Remote APDU structure for UICC based applications"

. ETSI Doc. TS 102 350 Smart cards; Identity Files and Procedures on a UICC; Stage 1 (Release 7) Scope of work to be undertaken: Organisations such as Liberty Alliance are creating specifications describing how a user's digital identity may be “federated”, i.e. shared between Service Providers and Identity Providers, to provide single sign-on and other services over mobile and wired networks. There is a strong possibility in the mobile sector of using IC cards, especially those issued by Mobile Network Operators (e.g. UICC), for authentication, secure Scope and Field messaging and secure storage of personal data. Interoperability considerations require the of Application standardisation of the UICC/ME interface for the “identity” parameters on the card. This Work Item will consider the requirements of Liberty Alliance and other “identity” forums that may have similar requirements. A TS will be created to collate these requirements. This document may also contain the technical realisation of these requirements; alternatively, these may be realised as CRs to existing SCP documents

. ETSI Doc. TS 102 127, Smart Cards; Transport protocol for CAT applications; Stage 2 (Release 6) Scope and Field CRs at SCP #30/30bis Contact: Zhifeng jiang Tel: +86-10-86309610 Hongqi Liu Fax: +86-10-67878597 China Netcom Group Email: [email protected] China Tel: +86-10-67838048 Email: [email protected] Attention: This is a document submitted to the work of ITU-T and is intended for use by the participants to the activities of ITU-T's Focus Group on IPTV, and their respective staff and collaborators in their ITU-related work. . ETSI Doc. TS 102 223, Smart Cards; Card Application Toolkit (CAT) (Release 7) Scope and Field Revisions, CRs incorporated after SCP#30/30bis of Application mber . ETSI Doc. TS 102 221, Smart cards; UICC-Terminal interface; Physical and logical characteristics (Release 1999) Scope and Field Revisions, incorporation of CRs approved at SCP #30 of Application

. ETSI Doc. TS 101 220, Smart Cards; ETSI numbering system for telecommunication application providers (Release 7) Scope and Field Revisions, incorporation of CRs approved at SCP #30 / 30bis. of Application

. ETSI Doc. TS 102 241, Smart Cards; UICC Application Programming Interface (UICC API) for Java Card (TM) (Release 7) Scope and Field Incorporation of CRs approved at SCP#30/30bis. of Application

. ETSI Doc. TS 102 483, Smart cards; UICC Internet connectivity over NUT Interface (Release 7) WID approved during SCP#23 document number of approved WID SCP-050453 This work item will investigate the technical issues related to providing Internet connectivity to the UICC over NUT Interface and deliver a Technical Specification (TS) defining technical solutions in Scope and Field at least the following areas: ·Higher level protocols needed by UICC internet applications over of Application NUT Interface ·Addressability of card over IP network and in the terminal ·Sharing terminal network connections with the UICC ·Internet name resolution This work item will not address specific applications but only connectivity solutions.

. ETSI Doc. TS 102 484, Smart cards; Secure channel between a UICC and an end-point terminal (Release 7) WID approved during SCP#23 document number of approved WID SCP-050454 The present work item will consider the specification of the secure channel by defining the protocol that Scope and Field shall be used to secure and exchange data. This work item will define a generic solution for a of Application secure channel between the UICC and an end point terminal; it will therefore be used to offer end-to-end security for all the applications/services/enablers defined in different SDOs/fora.

. ETSI Doc. TS 102 569, Smart Cards; UICC Security Service Module (USSM); Stage 2 Scope and Field Stage 2 resulting from TS 102 266 of Application - 3 - FG IPTV-C-0646

. ETSI Doc. TS 102 600, Smart Cards; UICC-Terminal interface; Characteristics of the USB interface ETSI SCP REQ produced requirements for a high speed UICC-Terminal interface and ETSI SCP #28 selected USB as the underlying technology for this interface. In light of the above, Scope and Field this work item will produce the technical specification for this new high speed interface, of Application preserving compliance with USB technology and allowing backward compatibility with TS 102 221 based devices and applications. CRs to TS 102 221 may also be produced to define co-existence of the two interfaces.
