DISTRICT SPORTS COMPLEX, AKOLA.

To develop the highest quality of sports and to have nos of national & international players in Maharastra. We must need the basic things i.e. well developed grounds and advance equipments in connection with this Maharastra govt. in 1996 & 2001 on his krida dhoran decided to develop krida sankul scheme in every district of Maharastra. Akola as we know is famous for kabaddi, kho-kho, wresting, football & handball form many of these games numbers of players has proved their abilities up to the national & international level to continues this flow of creating national & international players a well advanced krida sankul at head quarters is built today. This project at krida sankul is basically built & develop at vasant desai stadium & at lal bahadur shastri stadium both located at the hart of the city. Approximately 30,170.5 sq.m. of vasant desai stadium & approx 34,946 sq. m. of shastri stadium (Total 65,116.5 sq. meter) of land is used to built this project and all this land is now handover from Zilla parishad & Nagar parishad, akola to krida sankul committee. The state govt. by his sanction letter on 13th oct. 2000 has given the approval of Rs. 4,25,92,420/- to the project of krida sankul. The estimated cost of the project is gathered by following different ways. 1) State govt. - Rs. 1,88,73,000 2) Golden jubilee scheme - Rs. 25,00,000 (sport pavilion) 3) Central govt. (Two installment) - Rs. 80,00,000 4) Premium amount from B. O. T. Project - Rs. 51,44,000 5) Non-refundable amount from bhangar bazaar - Rs. 44,72,000

Total Rs. 3,89,89,000 Following facility are right now available at vasant desai stadium

1) 36 X 25 X 12.5 m. multipurpose hall with stage and gallery at one side. This multipurpose hall is having the facilities tabletenis, basketball, bat-mintan, volleyball, carom etc. 2) swimming tank having the length of 25 X 21 m. of 8 lane with filtration plant is gating completed and form April 2004 it was given on contract basis to shri dhananjay bhagat of ajinkya fitness park akola 3) 400 m running track of 8 lane with drange system 4) as will advanced sport pavilion including a public gallery having a capacity of 5000 people urinars, changing rooms for boys and girls

following work is complited on shastri stadium 1) A public gallery having a capacity at ground about 15000 people has been completed from akola municipal corporation under B. O. T. project 2) Play grounds at different games such as football, kabaddi, khokho, volleyball, handball and hockey has been developed on this ground 3) A hostel building of 300 bades for boys and girls has been completed and from last 2 years it is utilizes from different sports and cultural activities. Also the hostel given on rent besis to the krida probodhini from march 2003 on nominal rent. To all the above said facilities the expenditure till today is as follows

The grant on has resolution dated 19th Jan. 2001 told that the excess of amount required to be on complication of the project is to be developed from different financial assistance. To this the committee has sent a proposal to the central govt on Fab 2001. The ministry of sports & Youth, New Delhi has sanction a total amount of Rs.90.26 lakhs to this projects out of which. The committee has taken the Rs.30.00 lakhs as 1st installment and the as per the letter of central govt dated on 24 th may 2004. The committee has taken has amount of Rs.50.00 lakhs towards 2nd installment. As per the krida dhoran of 2001 to every district in Maharastra a package of Rs. 4.00 carores has to be given to get this package a proposal of Rs.192.72 lakhs as 2nd installment having all the necessary documents has been sent to the govt. from this proposal the following facilities are planed to develop in future. 1) Pavilion - 1) Roof on vasant desai & shastri stadium. 2) Land escaping, tree plantation & earth mounting on both stadiums. 3) Coloring to the public gallery. 2) Play field - 1) Derange system on both shastri & vasant desai stadium. 2) Drinking water & urinals on both stadium 3) Parking system on both stadiums. 4) Compound wall on vasant desai stadium. 5) Greenery on play field of football & Hockey at shastri stadium. 6) Sprinkal system on different playgrounds. 3) Swimming pool - 1) Canteen. 2) 15 mm borewell 4) M. hall - 1) Electric fitting & lighting 5) Hostel - 1) Changing rooms in front at the hostel for players 2) Compound wall to hostel building. 6) Sports equipments - 1) Sports equipments of Gymnastics, boxing, wresting, lawn tennis, table tennis, Hockey, football etc.

Income source to the committee form different cultural & Sports activities

1) The krida sankul committee on 10th March 2002 successfully male the program of famous singer shri Jagjeet sing at Dr.Babasaheb open theater, Akola. From this the krida sankul committee gets the income of Rs.3.40 lakh. 2) From different cultural programmer at Shastri stadium such as Janata Raja, Sonu nigam, Shan, Udit narayan musical night & different sports competitions. The committee gets the total income of Rs.5.62 lakh. 3) At Shastri stadium inside the public gallery 149 shops from B.O.T. project were built. There shops were given on rent basic from there the sankul committee will gets the income of Rs.4.78 lakh approx per annum. 4) The swimming pool at vasant desai stadium is given on contract basic for tender Rs.81,100/- per year. 5) Half portion of the hostel building at Shastri stadium is given to the krida probodhini (a scheme run by the state govt.) on rent of Rs.5000/- per month.

All the above income sources were utilized for the maintenance & repairing of different works.

Taluka sports complex, Balapur, Patur, Akot and Telhara According to the maharastra government order deted 16 june 2004, as per the new sport policy government granted for establish sport complex at balapur, patur, akot and telhara in akola district. For each sport complex the sanctioned amount is Rs. 25.00 lakhs out of there each sport complex gots Rs. 10.00 lakhs rupees. For construction of krida sankul at very taluka the tender noticed have veen published in lacal paper & according to that the contracter has appointed. Taluka krida sankul, Akot. Hon. District Collector, Akola by order of krida sankul govts. 5 acers land from, I.T.I. Akot. The contractor has been appointed for krida sankuls construction is completed upto lenterlevel of constrution is in progress. The total expenditure on contrution upto today is Rs.3,08,757/- Taluka krida sankul, Telhara In general assembly meeting of telhara nagar parishad the decision has to be taken provide 2.36 hector land in reseived wasd no.6 at Satkabad. The proposal has to put to Hon.District Collector, Akola for to transfer this land to krida sankul. The construction has been started & work is conpleted upto lenterlevel. The Telhara krida sankul trying to pay Rs. 2,27,443/- to project contractor of completed work. Taluka krida sankul, Balapur Hon.Collector, Akola provided 1.38 hector Sr.no.87 of land by vide order no.LNA/22/Akola/9/2000-01, dated 9 julley 2004. But Respected Shri.Babasaheb Dhabekar, Palakmantri, Akola District meeting on dated 20.12.2003 the land is shifted to Gramin Hospital, Balapur 2 acres. New land is not suitable for construction & certifed ground. So krida sankul committee decided to connect krida sankul on govt. land near nagar parishad. In condition the land has been leveled the process of tranfer land to krida sankul is in progres the actual constructed has started in the second week September 2005. Taluka krida sankul, Patur. The Priyadarshani Gramin & Adiwasi utkarsha foundation, Navegaon Patur approved 3.74 hector of land for krida sankur, Patur. The krida sankul appointed contractor for construction. But due to water shortage the speed of work is slow of the construction is to be completed after availability of water. Taluka krida sankul, Murtizapur For devolping high quality player & ground in Maharastra the govt. decide established good krida sankul at every taluka. According to that in Akola District Murtizapur taluka is to be choosen firstly to established krida sankul. The taluka krida sankul has to be establishing at tahsil ground on 14,030 sq.mt. of land. All this land to be transferred on sankul name. According to govt. rule krida sankul, Akola estimated Rs.5,95,000/- for constrution. The expenditure done accoding to.

Alpabachat inspiration grant 5% - 45,000/------Total - 5,45,000/------According to krida sankul at Murtizapur has been planed of estimated cost is calculated by Architect Mr. Dilip Jade. For constructing krida sankul Mr.Sandeep N. Deshmukh put up tender at 14.86 % lese rate that’s upto krida sankul accepted his tender of order has been given for constrution at Martizapur. But increasing in estimated cost of construction, krida sankul committee make new revise estimated of Rs.12,60,288/- from architect Mr.Dilip Jade for that project cheeking of technical sanctioned has taken from Ex. Engineer, PWDn, Akola. The office of sports Officer, Coaches room, store room, changing room & toilet etc. has been construction according to in proved estimation. The amount Rs.5,45,000/- is start for construction krida sankul take credit for short period. Further new sports policy at 2001 proposal upto Rs. 25 lakh project. According to that krida sankul recived Rs.5.00 lakh govts. The taluka krida sankul send proposal to govt of Rs.28.01 lakh complete remaining works out of these proposal amount Rs.10.00 lakh has been recived from govt. in this amount the construction has completed.
