Summary: Ten years of editing, translating, and interpretation. Seven years of teaching EFL and ESL for, elementary, undergraduate students and adults. Working as an Arabic instructor within the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant and for Ohio University (OU).

Objectives: Looking for a job for a job as an editor and Translator, as my strong background of both Arabic and English will make me an excellent candidate for Arabic and English editor positions. I also have extensive experience in both translation and interpretation, so I will fit perfectly in all tasks that necessitate translation or interpretation from English to Arabic and vice versa.

Work Experience: February 2015 – Working as a “Consultant” for Traveazy DMCC based in Dubai, UAE. Present  Proofreading and monitoring the quality of documents and brochures issued by the company for touristic promotion purposes.

November 2009- Working as a “Volunteer Translator” from English to Arabic for the Non- Present Governmental Organizations Report issued by the United Nations, New York, USA.  Translating articles related to organizing the annual conferences of NGOs in different cities around the world.

January 2005 – Working as a “Freelance Translator and Interpreter”. Present  Translating thousands of files related to different fields including legal, tourism, government, education, and general documents.

August 2013- Working as a TA to teaching Arabic for undergraduate and graduate students June 2014 at OU.

January 2013- Working as an assistant in the OPIE reading lab at OU. April 2014 o Helped students to improve their reading by explaining the different skills involved in reading like finding the main ideas, drawing conclusions, finding details, and distinguishing between opinions and facts.

January 2013- Working as a pronunciation tutor in the OPIE pronunciation lab at OU. June 2014 o Helped students to improve their pronunciation by explaining the different aspects like consonants and vowels, stress, syllables, intonation, and rhythm.

September 2012- Working as a writing tutor in the OPIE writing lab at OU. June 2014 o Helped Students to improve their writing assignments by giving them suggestions on how to make an outline, write a thesis statement, write topic sentences, write good introductions and conclusions, and writing summary and response essays.

September 2012- Working as an ESL instructor at East Elementary school in Athens, OH (5th May 2013 and 6th grade)

January 2013 – Working as an online translator for Revin Legal based in Dubai, UAE. Present  Translated documents that belong to different fields.

December 2008 - Working as a translator at the Diplomat Center for Strategic Research and January 2011 Studies.  Translated and summarized papers published by international think tanks about the political and economic issues in countries in the Middle East like Iran, Iraq, Israel, Palestine, Afghanistan and Gulf countries as well as international organizations like NATO. August 2009- Participating in the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) May 2010 program, the Community College of Baltimore County, Maryland, USA.

April 2008- Working as an English teacher at the English Language Resource Center October 2011 (ELRC) at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt.

September 2006- Teaching English at the Commercial Technical Institute, the Technological November 2007 College, the Ministry of Higher Education, Menoufeya, Egypt.

August 2005 – Working as a translator for EGY LINGO based in Cairo, Egypt. July 2008  Translated legal documents that included contracts and court materials.
