POSITION: X-Ray/Mammography Technologist
LOCATION: West Deptford
HOURS: Mon - Thurs – 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., every other Sat 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform General X-ray Exams Perform Mammography studies* Ability to perform DXA a plus Other Duties as Requested by Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
ARRT NJ State license Good Patient Relations Mammography certification preferred *
*Applicants without mammography certification may apply for this position, however, performing mammography studies is a requirement of the job. Therefore, if an applicant without this training is selected, mammography training will be provided. Successful completion and board certification is required. This training will be offered at a future time determined by the manager.

Job Title: X-ray/Mammography Technologist Location: Reports to: Office Manager Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY - Performs x-ray/mammographic examinations as requested by ordering physicians ensuring excellence in customer care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Acquire quality images always Implement ALARA and Image gently ensuring protecting patients and coworkers from radiation hazard Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations Identify patients and reaffirm patient records are correct as well as referring physician accuracy Implement sterile and infection control procedures Request, retrieve and track previous studies for comparison purposes Maintain quality control checks for equipment integrity and cleanliness Maintain exam rooms including maintaining necessary supplies Knowledge of x-ray equipment Monthly, semi-annual and annual QC All other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES – This position has no supervisory responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of certificate of training in x-ray, mammography and ARRT licensure in both with clinical experience. Current, valid NJ State license
Training and Experience
Completion of certification of training in x-ray and mammography
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
Working knowledge of anatomy, positioning, medical terminology Knowledge of radiation safety Knowledge of filming/PACS and RIS Ability to work with others Genuine desire to want to help others Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing. Physical Demands of the Position - Position requires standing and walking 80-90% of designated shift. Position requires lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping and twisting.

Patient contact Assist patients on and off exam tables as indicated Radiation exposure Potential for exposure to blood and body fluids Contact with coworkers, patients and their family members, physicians, referring physicians and their office staff
