Oshkosh Ymca Mid-Winter Meet

OSHKOSH COMMUNITY YMCA’s MID-WINTER MEET JANUARY 9-10, 2016

Location: Oshkosh Community YMCA Philip R. Kuhn Pool 3303 W. 20th Avenue Oshkosh, WI 54904

Facility: Indoor 25 yard pool with 8 lanes, starting blocks in 9 feet of water, electronic timing, 2 manual watches per lane. Spectator bleachers on deck. A rest area away from the pool will be provided.

Rules: USA Swimming Technical Rules. Swimmers age as of January 9, 2016

Meet Schedule: Saturday + Sunday Warm-ups 8:00 – 9:00 AM Competition 9:05 AM

 The meet will be concluded by 1 PM both days. Warm-up could be moved up if necessary to finish by 1 PM.

Meet Format: The meet will be pre-seeded. With the exception of the 8+U’s, swimmers should report directly to the blocks for each event. The 8+U’s should report to the clerk of course for all individual events. 8+U relays should report directly to the blocks. All 8+U races will start from the block end.

Time Trials: At the end of each day’s events we will offer time trials until 1 PM each day. The priority for time trials will be first events that are not offered at the meet, 2nd events that aren’t offered that day at the meet, and 3rd events that have been offered that day at the meet. Deadline for signing up for time trials will be 11:00 AM. If time permits there will be a short warm-up session before time trials and / or time trials will be run in 6 lanes + 1 buffer lane + 1 continuous warm-up / warm down lane.

Timers: The Oshkosh YMCA will provide timers.

Entry Limit: Four (4) individual events plus one (1) relay per day

Entry Fees: $4.00 per event for individual events $4.00 per event for individual time trials / $12.00 per event for relay time trials $12.00 per event for relays $4.00 surcharge per swimmer MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO OSHKOSH YMCA SWIM TEAM

Best Time Caps: Each swimmer swimming a best time or competing in an event for the first time will receive a commemorative swim cap. Limit 1 cap per swimmer.
