R1, R2: Live from Media, PA, it’s News on the Lane. R1: Good morning, I’m Kelly M. R2: And I’m Dylan D, reporting from the Rosemary Angelina Broadcast Center. R1: Today is Monday, June 19, 2017. It is day 8 of the 12-day cycle. R2: Our Pledge of Allegiance will be led by some of our fifth grade Broadcasters. Please stand, face the flag in your classroom, and put your right hand over your heart to recite the pledge. R1: Please remain standing for a moment of silence. R2: ((Count to 10)) Please join us in reciting the Bobcat Pledge. We pledge to: Be ready, respectful and responsible. Offer a helping hand. Be a friend to everyone. Care about feelings. Accept differences. Tell an adult. Stand up for what is right. R1: Please be seated for some news and announcements. ((Wait for camera person’s cue)) Today, the BIG story on the lane is this today is the last day of school for the 2016-2017 school year! R2: We hope everyone has a fun and relaxing summer vacation! R1: We have many birthdays to announce for today. Happy birthday greetings go to Seamus Monzione, Roma Lombardozzi, Owen Lynch, Thomas Murphy and Arjun Bhogal who will be celebrating at the end of this month. R2: Continuing with our fifth grade summer birthdays we have Chase Patti, Lauren Harmon, Isabella Green, Adriana Dannaker, Ethan Pakuris and Riley Barusevicius celebrating in the beginning of the August. R1: And Nick Renzulli, Shannon McDonnell, Alli Nepo and Heidi Renneisen will have their special day at the end of August. R1&R2: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EVERYONE! R1: At 10:30 this morning, there will be an end-of-the year assembly for all students. R2: It will be held in the gym. R1: Following the assembly will be the annual 5th grade clap out. R2: This will give everyone a chance to celebrate the fifth graders as they move on to Springton Lake next year. R1: And now, here’s Ben H. with today’s “Believe It or Not” fact.
