Team Captain(s): Team Managers, Taylor King (Manager), Sterden Pierre-Gillis (Manager), Sebastian Slagel Statisticians, Trainers: (Manager), Players to watch (include info such as statistical streaks, colleges they are being recruited by, etc.):

RB Robert Thomas had no rushing yards in first six quarters of season; going into state semifinal vs. Tampa Plant had school-record 193-2194 and 28 TD. Two others J.J. Simmons (80-986) and Chandler Cox (137-905) are nearing 1,000 yards each. Apopka completed just 53 passes in 13 games but 13 of them are for TD. PK Tyler L’Heureux is 72-77 on XP and 4-5 on FG with long of 28 (twice). Junior OL Martez Ivey, 6-6, 270, is being recruited by pretty much everybody with offers from top BCS schools. Before the season he said he won’t make a decision about college until after his senior season in 2014. QB Zack Darlington, son of head coach, is a Nebraska commit and will be an EE. He hasn’t played since the season opener at Duncan (S.C.) Byrnes due to a concussion.

Interesting trivia about players (i.e., son of coach, father also played for school, famous relatives, etc.) QB Zack Darlington, son of head coach, brother of OL Ty, who is now at Oklahoma. DL Jake Rolson, son of DC Jeff Rolson. LB Billy Caughell, Apopka’s leading tackler, son of DB coach Bill Caughell. WR Delvin Morris, brother of Dazzie Morris, starting C on last year’s Apopka state title team. OL Wes Cullison, son of Interlachen head coach Mike Cullison.
