W= (OD-WT) x WT x 0.02466 OD : mm WT : mm W : kg/m

COST OF LINE PIPE

MATERIAL SPECIFICATION CBP (USD/ kg) X42 0.56 X46 0.58 X52 0.60 X56 0.62 X60 0.64 X65 0.66

COST OF PE COATING

CPE=12 USD/m2

COST CALCULATION OF LINE PIPE

CO= (W x CBP) + [(OD/318) x CPE]

EXAMPLE Calculate the cost of 1 meter, X52 grade, line pipe with an outer diameter of 24 inches and a wall thickness of 11.1 millimeters using practical weight calculation formula. SOLUTION OD = 610 mm WT = 11.1 mm CBP=0.60 USD/kg CPE=12USD/kg W = (610-11.1) x 11.1 x 0.02466=163.93 kg/m CO = (163.93 x 0.60) + [(610/318) x 12] CO ≈ 121.4 USD
