Which Paper Towel is the Quicker Picker Upper? Do Not Write on Lab!

Observations: 1. Think of the latest paper towel commercials that you have seen. What qualities do they advertise? On your binder paper list 3 qualities (variables) that make a good paper towel. 1. 2. 3.

2. Bounty claims to be the “Quicker-Picker-Upper.” How do they support their claim?

Experimental Design: Materials: You need to find evidence to support Bounty’s claim. You may choose to use some or all of the following materials to test the claim: Bounty, Brand X, Brand Y, water, medicine droppers, graduated cylinders, stop watch. You may use other materials not listed, but be sure to include them in your report. You will need to list the materials you use in your materials section of your lab report.

Problem: Is Bounty the Quicker-Picker-Upper?

Hypothesis: You need to make a statement to answer the above question. This needs to be done before you conduct the experiment.

Procedures: You need to design an experiment that will test this problem. Make sure to write very detailed lab procedures. If I read your procedures I should be able to exactly replicate your experiment.

Data: Decide how you will demonstrate your results to others. You may consider tables, pictures, graphs, etc. It is often most effective to use multiple methods of displaying your data.

Conclusion: Use the lab format sheet to write a conclusion. Your conclusion needs to be written in complete sentences in paragraph form.
