BOROUGH OF EASTLEIGH

TOWN POLICE CLAUSES ACT 1847 – SECTION 21 TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS, BISHOPSTOKE

By arrangements made under section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 notice is hereby given that Eastleigh Borough Council proposes to make a Temporary Road Closure Order to allow for the Bishopstoke Carnival Parade, the effect of which is detailed below,

Roads to be Closed: Fair Oak Road Service Road from its junction with Manor Farm Close to its junction with Underwood Road; Underwood Road from its junction with Fair Oak Service Road to its junction with Hamilton Road; Hamilton Road from its junction with Underwood Road to its junction with Sedgwick Road; Sedgwick Road from its junction with Hamilton Road to its junction with West Drive; West Drive from its junction with Hamilton Road to its junction with Spring Lane; Spring Lane from its junction with West Drive to its junction with Portal Road; Portal Road for its entire length.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative Route: As signed

Period of Closure: Sunday 17 September 2017 from 00:00 to 23:59 notwithstanding this it is expected the closure will be in force from 11:00hrs to 16:00hrs.

The Carnival will assemble in Fair Oak Service Road from 11am, the parade will set off at approximately 1pm. The roads on the procession route will re-open once the parade has passed.

The closures specified above apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002.
