Band Booster Board: /Executive

President – Preside over meetings. Help with communication between TMS, AMS and AHS bands. Vice President – Help the association run concessions, fundraisers and assist the directors with the band program. Head the scholarship committee. Committee the band Boosters membership reward program. Michelle Rafferty 2nd Vice President. Help organize band camp, fundraisers, booster meetings and 2nd fundraiser. Treasurer – File appropriate paperwork concerning the AHS Band Booster program. Cut checks. Pay bills. Provide monthly statement at Booster meetings. Assist in forming budget. Maintain quick books. 1 st Asst. Treasurers – Assist the treasurer. Help with football game monies, deposits and fundraisers. Help with banking twice per week/ usually Mondays and Fridays. 2 nd Asst. Treasurer –Assist the treasurer. Help with football game proceeds and trip monies. Help with banking twice per week. Usually this is Monday’s and Friday’s. Secretary – Keep minutes from Band Booster meetings and email parents with important information when necessary. Update HISD Band Booster information and attend HISD meetings. This is a check signing position. Parliamentarian: Ensure that all rules and by-laws of the assoc. are followed using Roberts rules of order. This position will receive a copy of the Band Boosters bank statement.

Parent Rep. AHS –To represent AHS parents at the Band Boosters board. Assist the board with up coming events and volunteer needs as necessary.

Band Camp Coordinator: Coordinate assoc. activities during summer band camp; including t-shirt, shoe, hanging bag and tote bag ordering, money collection associated. Head up the band camp end dance committee. 2 Middle School Parent Reps

AMS – Represent AMS at Booster meetings. Assist Mr. Wolfe where needed. Organize AMS volunteers for middle school football games. Help with charms account maintenance. Notify the board of up- coming middle school events.

TMS – To represent TMS at band Booster meetings. Assist Mr. Miller where needed. Organize TMS volunteers for middle school football games. Help with charms account maintenance. Notify the board of up-coming middle school events.

Other Important Jobs Trip Coordinator – Assist the band directors in organizing the student band trip for the year. Fund-raising Chairman – 1 person to organize 2 student fund- raisers; one in the fall and one in the spring. Parent Fund-raisers Chairman – Chair a fundraising committee designed to help raise additional funds for the program. Corporate sponsorship coordinator. Invite businesses to support the AHS Band program Spirit Chairman: Coordinate the sale of spirit items including shirts, yard signs, bumper stickers, etc. to band families. Publicity: Promote band activities and accomplishments through local media and school outlets. Web-Master: Keep band web-site updated. Assist in the publishing of all band forms.

Chaperones Coordinator: Coordinate volunteers to ride the buses with the kids to games and contests. Work closely with meals coordinator and band directors. Chaperones (2 per bus) Announcer Help directors at football games with announcements and with introductions at concerts. Should have a great public speaking voice! Uniform Coordinators: Over-see inventory of uniforms, help size at Band Camp and prepare uniforms for cleaning, organize for alterations etc. Uniform Alterations.

Banquet Coordinator: Chair and coordinate the year end band banquet.

Ice Crew: Pack ice chests and igloos the day before Varsity football games.

Meals Coordinator – Organize, advise students and organize order forms for the student’s meals on Varsity football game days.

Meals coordinator ( assistant) Assist the meals coordinator by purchasing drinks, assisting in money collection/picking up meals and helping to hand them out.

Year end Auditor . Head up the year end audit committee.

Hospitality provider Organize meals for judges, clinicians and accompanists at UIL events, Band Camp master class week and at other special events through out the year.

Data Entry Help maintain the charms website and update information as necessary. Maintain spreadsheets and uniform information. CPA. Offer assistance to the treasurer with government taxes and filings.

Concessions @ Turner Stadium.

(These are the Varsity football games)

Turner Concessions Manager: Coordinate the opening, running and closing of Turner concessions. Work with purchasers to ensure proper supplies. Allocate the volunteers to different jobs.

Asst. Turner Concessions Manager: Run the visitor side concession stands at Turner and assist the lead manager as needed. Turner Volunteer Coordinator – Ensure sufficient volunteers are signed up for concessions at Turner. Turner Purchaser – Pick up needed supplies from Sam’s club for Turner stadium games.

Coke delivery parent. Meet the coke driver and accept the coke order for Turner stadium. (Usually Thursday mornings)

Turner cheese preparer. Prepare 2 pails of cheese (in AHS concession stand) for Varsity football games.

Turner bread & Ice supplies parent. Order buns and rolls and have it delivered to Turner stadium. Contact and coordinate ice delivery for Varsity games at Turner.

(These are middle school, Freshmen, Sophomore and J.V.games)

Atascocita concessions coordinator. Coordinate managers, supplies, equipment and the number of volunteer s needed for each individual AHS games.

Atascocita Volunteer Coordinator – Coordinate volunteer needs for AHS games. Work closely with AMS and TMS parent representatives.

AHS Concessions Purchaser: Take inventory of items that are needed and purchase these supplies. Supplies are purchased from Sam’s club and HEB. Work closely with AHS concessions coordinator. 3 Atascocita Nightly Managers: manage the concession stand on these nights.

3 Atascocita concessions set-up coordinator. Be the primary person in charge of the set-up of concessions at the AHS field concessions. (This shift usually coincides with AHS Band marching practices.)
