Subject: Michigan KMA closing it’s Distribution Center in Livonia Michigan

The Kroger Co. announced on Jan. 24,2008 that it will allow its service agreement with SuperValu’s ALM facility in Livonia, Michigan to expire in early 2008. Kroger will shift responsibility for servicing its Michigan stores’ grocery product needs to a modern facility Kroger operates in Delaware, Ohio by the end of March 2008. Kroger had previously moved the sourcing of selected products for its Michigan stores to the Delaware facility more than a year ago.

Kroger's state-of-the-art distribution facility in Delaware allows Kroger to better serve stores and customers because of the increased capability and efficiency it offers. In addition, with the expanded number of products serviced from Delaware, the facility allows Kroger to better utilize multiple-temperature trailers, which can carry a mix of refrigerated, frozen and room temperature grocery items on a single truck. Kroger uses these specially designed trailers to help reduce the amount of fuel and energy the company uses to transport products to stores.

Effective March 31, 2008 your company will no longer be receiving EDI transactions (Warehouse PO’s and or 852’s) for the Michigan KMA under the duns listed below:
