The position of Marketing Co-Ordinator will work across two leading organisations: The National Centre for Craft & Design and Design Factory.

We are seeking to recruit a Marketing Co-ordinator to deliver an integrated and dynamic marketing and communications strategy for The National Centre for Craft & Design and Design Factory. Candidates for the post will be confident in communicating with a diverse range of audiences and well versed in delivering marketing campaigns, both physical and digital, that meet the demands of quality and audience reach. They will have experience in visual arts marketing and be dedicated to working collaboratively with colleagues and partners.

The National Centre for Craft & Design and Design Factory are part of NK Arts Partnership and work with artsNK and Terry O’Toole Theatre (TOTT) to deliver a dynamic programme of high quality arts and cultural experiences across North Kesteven, the East Midlands and beyond. The postholder will work with the Marketing Co-Ordinator for artsNK and TOT to maximise cultural marketing and PR opportunities for the partnership.

The post is employed through Leisure in the Community who delivers North Kesteven District Council's leisure and cultural services contract. JOB DESCRIPTION

Post: MARKETING CO-ORDINATOR Location: The National Centre for Craft & Design, Sleaford, Lincolnshire Hours of work: 30 hours per week Responsible to: NCCD and Design Factory Manager Salary: £19,000 pro rata per annum

JOB PURPOSE To deliver and execute a marketing and communication strategy that seeks to raise the profile of NCCD and Design Factory locally, regionally and nationally; building audiences, growing participation, increasing income and raising the profile of British craft and design.

KEY TASKS  To co-ordinate and deliver high quality targeted campaigns that promote and market NCCD and Design Factory exhibitions, events, activities and programmes to local, regional and national audiences.  To co-ordinate marketing schedules and work with the wider team to ensure all marketing actions and tasks are implemented on time and to the highest standard.  To co-ordinate the design, print and production of marketing information including; leaflets, posters, adverts, postcards, catalogues and promotional displays and ensure all information is of the highest quality and standard.  To co-ordinate and deliver effective digital campaigns, including; monitoring and updating websites, writing and issuing newsletters, updating and monitoring social media profiles (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Vimeo, Flickr, Pinterest), contributing to blogs, creating digital content and exploring new digital applications.  To work effectively with staff across the organisations to identify, plan and implement new campaigns for developing audiences both physical and digital.  To write and issue press releases and work with local, county, regional and specialist arts and creative press and media to maximise press and PR opportunities.  To work with partners to maximise PR opportunities linked to key cultural events including; Lincolnshire Day, UK Craft & Design month, Architecture Week and Big Draw, etc.  To update and maintain distribution lists and visitor/user databases.  To undertake and co-ordinate evaluation activity and provide monthly progress reports in relation to marketing delivery.  To attend quarterly Lincolnshire One Venue meetings on behalf of NCCD and represent NCCD on the LOV marketing group.  To review and evaluate best practice across all areas of marketing communications and make recommendations for improvements.  To attend and contribute to programming and team meetings  To work closely with the Marketing Co-Ordinator for artsNK and Terry O’Toole Theatre to maximise marketing and PR opportunities.  To maintain awareness and understanding of our programmes and services and regularly attend NCCD and Design Factory events and exhibition previews.  To monitor the marketing budget, in close liaison with the Manager.  To undertake such other duties as may be determined from time to time, within the genera l scope and commensurate with the grade of the post. Duties outside the scope of the po st may also be undertaken with the consent of the post-holder PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION

Employer Leisure in the Community Trust

Salary £19,000 per annum pro rata

Car Allowance A mileage allowance of £0.20 for diesel and £0.24 for petrol per mile will be reimbursed for all travel carried out for work purposes.

Office Hours 30 hours per week. The post holder is required to have a flexible approach to working hours, of benefit to both parties and agreed in advance with the line manager, as the job may occasionally require some working outside of normal office hours.

Holidays The annual holiday entitlement is 20 days per year plus a further 8 Bank and Public days. This will be pro rata.

Sickness Sickness absence will not be paid for first 3 days of absence; there on entitlement to sick pay will be in accordance with the appropriate rate of Statutory Sick Pay.

Pension The post holder will be invited to join the company’s nominated stakeholder pension scheme.
