Next week is Battle of the Axe – pep rally will fill up fast. We take the first 200. You might want to stop by the office and pick up permission slip today and bring it back Monday.

Trash Can Announcement

The black metal trash cans in the hallways are not to be used for lunch trash. Please through your food away in the large gray trash cans only.

Planner Check Announcement

Students, we have begun to do planner checks on a regular basis. Both your advisory teacher and your class teachers will be doing checks from time to time to ensure that you are using your planner to help you stay organized.

Students who are identified as having planners that stand out to us in some way will be recognized, and students who do not keep up with their planners may be assigned block lunch tutorials in one or more classes to provide you and opportunity to catch up and organize your planner! Stay on top of it and let your planner “work” for you!

Lunch Detention for Forms in Skyward

Due to the large number of students who will be serving lunch detention until their forms are complete, we will have to close both gyms during Block lunch. Once the number of students in detention reduces, we will open the gym back up - listen for announcements each day to know when that will be.

Circle of Friends Announcement

Circle of Friends members, if you have your items for the party, please bring them to room 113 after the announcements. Also, if you signed up to be a circle of friends member, but did not receive a ticket to the pizza party today, please come see Ms. Coleman in room 113 after the announcements. It’s not too late to sign up for this awesome club…come see Ms. Coleman for more details!!

Student Travel Announcement

Time Machine Coffeehouse Announcement

Time Machine Coffeehouse will be held on Tuesday, September 27 @ 7pm in the LHS Main Cafeteria. Admission is $5. Come see the fine arts department put on a show of performances from different time periods! This will include acting, singing, dancing, instrumentalists, and MORE! We'd love to have you there.

Homecoming Court Announcements

Attention: NO freshmen have been nominated for Homecoming Court! We also need more sophomore MALES nominated. This is a very special event, so please nominate your fellow freshmen and tenth grade boys for Homecoming Court ASAP! Applications are available on the door of room 226. We are extending the due date to Friday by 3:25 to ensure that we have enough nominations. Please see Ms. Reeves for more details!

Eligibility for UIL Activities Announcement

Let’s talk about eligibility for UIL activities. Eligibility means you are allowed to participate. October 7 is the date that eligibility is determined. This means that if you are not passing on that day, on October 7, you will not be eligible to play or participate. If you are not eligible, you cannot play – even if you bring your grade up the next day. The cutoff is October 7.

Farmer Varsity football game this Friday is at Pennington Field

Football Tickets will be available for sell during lunch in the main office on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Tickets are less expensive when purchased on campus. Students $4.00 / Adults $6.00 / Tickets purchased at the gate are $8.00 for everyone.

StuCo Announcements

-Congrats to both of our JV teams for beating Euless Trinity last night. JV2 was down 20-0 but came back and won 29-26. And our JV1 team was down 12-14 in the end of the third quarter, but redeemed themselves with the end score being 31-14. Way to fight back farmers! Announcements – Friday, September 23, 2016

-Reminder that all donations for Clothes for wishes of clothes, towels or sheets are appreciated. Drop off your donations in the office or room 226. Today is the last day!

-Varsity Football plays today against Trinity at Pennington Field, Game starts at 7:30.

-It¹s not too late to join Student Council! Pick up your form in room 226 and bring it to Ms. Reeves with your $20 for your shirt and membership fees

-Next week is Battle of the Ax, also known as BOTA! Please participate in our spirit days by dressing up all week! Monday is camp day, Tuesday is twin day, Wednesday is Hawaiian Day, Thursday is overall day and Friday is black out! Main is having a decorating party Wednesday after school to help you have the cutest overalls ever!

Career Cafe Sept. 30th- Engineering and IT Careers Announcement

Plan for your future and sign up for our first Career Cafe of the year.

Friday, Sept. 30th from 11:15 to 12:00 in the Lecture Hall.

Our speakers will be Terrell and Jeannette Bennett from Texas Instruments. They will be speaking about IT (Information Technology) and Engineering careers. Both of them graduated college from MIT, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. MIT is ranked first in the world for engineering and technology subjects!

Jeannette works in IT for Texas Instruments. Terrell has a phD in Electrical Engineering and has worked for Texas Instruments and Motorola as a design engineer.
