To generate detailed drawings for manufacturing. 8. To generate assembly drawing. 9. To provide guidance to shop floor during production, assembly & testing of the machine. 10. To attend meetings with the clients regarding the machine.

2) OBJECTIVE: -

To redesign AHC cylinders along with Transducers. To redesign Mill stand PROJECT: -

Formosa Heavy Industries, Indonesia. 4-High mill stand, Cold reversing mill DESIGN CENTRE: -

VAI, Linz, Austria

REFERENCE: -

PROJECT DWA & BETHALAM, U.K

DATAS PROVIDED:-

ROLLING FORCE – MAX 20,000 KN (DESIGN VALUE) BENDING FORCE – MAX +500 KN / - 350 KN (PER ROLL NECK) WORK ROLL SHIFTING - +/- 100 mm (WORKING RANGE) In addition to these Roll diameter, Strip tension, Drive motor speed etc were provided.

MY ROLE:-

1. I as a part of the Cold rolling team of our client was responsible for calculating the different positions in the mill stand window, determine the max guiding length of the latch with respect to different positions in the mill stand window, calculate the length of travel of AGC cylinder and wedge system, calculate rolling load & also calculate forces acting on the wedge for lifting and lowering the blocks. Later on after the design got approved by the Design AGM the assembly & detailing of components were done on Solid edge software by me as a part of the design team. 2. I also had to visit plants for the successful implementation of the designs as approved by our design dept. 3. My job responsibility also involved to calculate/ recalculate forces generated due to the rolling force of AHC CYLINDERS and decide as per analogous on Seals, O- rings and also recalculate and check some of the cylinder calculations. Later on I redeveloped the design in Solid edge and later on detailing was involved. 4. Perform motion analysis to check different moving equipments. Later on develop detailed drawings of components & generate assembly drawing of the equipment.

3) OBJECTIVE: -

To design an x-ray trolley for Chittarangan locomotive works.

PROJECT: -

CHITTARANGAN LOCOMOTIVE WORKS, WEST BENGAL

DATAS PROVIDED:-

FRAME HEIGHT – 3500 mm FRAME WIDTH - 5500 mm MOTION REQUIRED FOR THE TUBE PLATFORM- LINEAR & SWIVELING MY ROLE:-

1. Develop the sketches of the machine from my own concept. 2. Develop the x-ray trolley assembly by using 3-d cad software. 3. Test for motion analysis by using 3-d cad software. 4. Develop detailed drawings of the components & later on generate the assembly drawing of the machine. 5. Provide guidance to shop floor during production and assembly of the machine.

ADDITIONAL ROLE:-

1. Creating exploded & sectional Views of Assemblies for presentation purpose. 2. Creating animations of assemblies as guidance to the shop floor assembly team. 3. Cross checking Teeth Profiles of sprockets, pinion shafts Etc by redeveloping Profiles using autocad & MDT. Later on these profiles developed are released in 1:1 scale to develop the cutter profiles. 4. Generation of detail drawings of helical, bevel & spur Gears via Reverse engineering & later via lisp (gear cal) Programming is also involved. It involves checking the profile correction factor, Span over teeth measurement & over pin measurement by using a customized soft ware. 5. Generation of CNC coordinates of various components for production purpose.

4) OBJECTIVE: -

To redesign and develop a new TRCC(THIRD RAIL CURRENT COLLECTER) ASSEMBLY for INTEGRAL COACH FACTORY,DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT CENTRE,CHENNAI to accommodate air spring which is provided as secondary suspension in the metro railways bogie (KOLKATA METRO RAILWAYS EXTENSION PROJECT). PROJECT: -

INTEGRAL COACH FACTORY, DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT CENTRE, CHENNAI.

DATAS PROVIDED:- Air spring diameter – 750mm. Minimum clearance from inner face of wooden insulating beam to the quadrant of air spring – 15~20mm. Distance from the centre of air spring to the MMD line – 545mm. Distance from the outer of wooden insulating beam to the MMD line – 65mm. Centre distance between the axle brackets (L.H & R.H) – 2450mm. Current – 750V 1000 Amps (D.C). Load on the insulated beam :- 810 N / 90 Kg. MY ROLE:-

1. In order to avoid infringement of TRCC with air springs a new TRCC ASSY design was developed by shifting of current collector arrangement towards the right side of axle box.

2. Redesign the laminated wooden beam. 3. Redesign the fixing plate along with its mating components which is bolted to the axle box in order to get more electrical clearance. 4. Attending the electrical testing for checking the effect on insulation on the metallic parts due to the high current 1000 Amps 900V D.C. 5. Checking for Electrical clearance between live parts and the metallic parts as per railway standards (IS/BS/IEC). 6. Checking the infringement to moving dimensions. 7. Develop detailed drawings of the components for manufacturing & later on generate the assembly drawing of TRCC ASSEMBLY. 8. Provide guidance to shop floor during production and assembly of TRCC. 9. Attend meetings with the clients and suppliers regarding TRCC ASSEMBLY. 10. Conduct stress analysis simulation on Ansys workbench software to find the stress generated and deformation due to the load applied on the insulated beam and generate the report. 11. Designed a test jig for cross checking the fitment of the TRCC assembly.
