LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER IN ASIAN STUDIES Institute for International Studies Ref No. R270307 (Continuing position commencing from January 2008)

UTS:Institute for International Studies is an academic unit within the recently re-constituted International Division at UTS.

Committed to excellence in research, teaching, and postgraduate supervision, the Institute has a growing international reputation both for its ground- breaking undergraduate program in International Studies, and for its postgraduate research and coursework programs.

Supporting the Institute’s future strategic plans the Institute invites applications for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Asian Studies to assist with developing its Asian Programs.

Applicants should have an outstanding track record in research and teaching, relevant to level and opportunity, and fluency in at least one of the target languages in the relevant program.

The Institute has pioneered award-winning and highly innovative teaching methods in creating internationalised Australian graduates across the professions. It prioritises research-led teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and has a growing cohort of doctoral scholars enrolled through nationally funded research programs.

Salary range:

Lecturer: $67,579 to $80,232 pa Senior Lecturer: $82,731 to $95,236 pa

The University offers salary packaging plus attractive superannuation.
