JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Catering Assistant Grading

Section: Refectory/Hospitality Reference

Job Objectives:

1. To carry out food preparation, cash handling and cleaning for all annexes within the Refectory/Hospitality areas.

Reporting to: Associate Director of Curriculum and Quality

1.

(a) To assist with all preparation of food, cash handling and cleaning for all the annexes within the Refectory/Hospitality areas.

(b) To prepare vegetables and other basic cooking tasks for all food preparation undertaken within the Refectory/Hospitality areas.

(c) To clean work tops, ovens, sinks and catering equipment on a daily basis.

(d) To serve customers and operate the tills.

(e) To work without direct supervision.

(f) To place orders on a daily basis within the kitchen order system.

(g) To maintain hygiene standard without direct supervision.

(h) Any other duties as may be required by the supervisor.
