Purpose The CSBS Advisory Board Innovation with Technology Award honors faculty or instructional staff members whose formative or pioneering uses of technology have demonstrated the potential to enrich and transform the educational experience of students at Minnesota State University, Mankato. In addition to acknowledging the accomplishments of our most innovative educators, this award serves as an exciting opportunity to showcase how educators within our college are forging new inroads in higher education through the use of technology.

Award The recipient of the award will be granted a course reassignment, used at their discretion, to further refine or develop new ideas in the use of the technology within the college1. The recipient will also showcase the technology at a campus-wide forum and engage colleagues in a small workshop to discuss the use and implementation of the technology.

Eligibility To be eligible for this award, the nominee must be (1) a CSBS faculty member, (2) using technology in a formative or innovative way that has clear implications for improving student engagement and learning outcomes, and (3) must be available and willing to hold educational forums or workshops on the use and implementation of the technology during the academic year 2015-2016. Current CSBS faculty members may submit nominations. Both self-nominations and nominations of a colleague are encouraged.
