Tues., June 7 Commencement Practice – 7:40 A.M. All seniors ride bus to and from practice. THIS IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT. Students should be at the Giant Center by 6:30 PM Wind Ensemble/Symphonic Bands at Graduation 6:30 PM Commencement – Hershey Giant Center 7:30 PM

Reminders:  Continually check the “scholarship” tab on the Guidance web page.  Listen/check daily announcements for important information. Rules and Regulations of Graduation 1. Attendance is compulsory at all rehearsals and graduation. Absence from commencement rehearsal could result in withholding of diploma and not participating in commencement. Do not be late to first period during rehearsal days. Be in first period at 7:40 a.m. each day. All extraneous circumstances must be coordinated through Mr. Miller.

2. Do NOT make job interviews or appointments during time of rehearsals.

3. Seniors must ride the regular school bus or provide their own transportation to school on June 7. All seniors are required to ride the buses provided to and from the Hershey Giant Center on June 7.

4. When entering and leaving the building, remember that other classes are still in session. PLEASE BE QUIET.

5. Do NOT visit other schools.

6. Diplomas or participation in commencement will be withheld if any discipline problems arise.

Clothing

1. Dress code applies for all rehearsals.

2. Caps will be required for everyone for the June 7 rehearsal at the Giant Center.

3. Graduation night – boys must wear white dress shirt, dark tie, dark trousers, dark socks and dark dress shoes. DO NOT WEAR SNEAKERS!!!!!!!

No writing on cap.

Graduation night – girls must wear white or light colored dress or a light colored blouse and white or light colored skirt or pants and white or light colored shoes and no flip flops. Do not wear gloves, carry flowers or bring purses into the Hershey Giant Center. There is no secure area to keep these items.

Rehearsals

1. Check gown, tassel, cap and girls’ collar (pin collar on at home) – make sure they fit. a. Keep caps flat, not tilted upward b. Tassels remain on RIGHT at all times. c. Boys will remove caps during the Alma Mater d. All commencement attire is yours to keep.

2. Be prompt to the practice.

3. On recessional, all students will continue the line of march back to assigned areas – do not block exit.

4. Practice singing the Alma Mater. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO SING!!!!!!

5. Hang gown on hanger. PLEASE NOTE: if you iron, just have the iron warm – the material will burn

REMEMBER!!!!!! ORDERING OF CAP AND GOWN IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF GRADUATION. GRADUATION IS DEPENDENT UPON SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING ALL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS. ALL OBLIGATIONS MUST BE CLEARED IN ORDER TO RECEIVE YOUR DIPLOMA. ALL SCHOOL WORK MUST ALSO BE COMPLETE.
