Please find below information regarding the 2015 Multi-Regional event
Multi Regional Age Groups Sunday 18th October 2015 London Aquatics Centre, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, E20 2AQ
DIVING POOL http://londonaquaticscentre.org/diving/diving_pool The overall Team Manager will be Helen Eaton. Helen will be responsible for bringing competition CDs, music registration forms and swimmers’ log books (You do not need to pre sign the log books as stickers will be created for the event). Squad TMs are responsible for bringing emergency contact forms/ medical forms, team costumes/ head dresses, kettle/ hot water flask and gelatine bowl, and speakers/music for walk throughs.
INTRODUCTION: RRSSC have 37 swimmers taking part in the Competition with 4 Teams, 37 Figures, 6 Duets & 10 Solos. A full list of entries is attached.
TRANSPORT: All Swimmers, Team Managers, Coaches and Poolside Assistants will be travelling by Coach to London. The two pick-up points as usual will be approx 6.00am SavaCentre and approx. 6.15am Winnersh Showcase Cinema. TRAVELLING: Each Team Manager will decide what attire they wish their Swimmers to travel in – however each team member must be wearing the same outfit at all times. Options: Club tracksuits, blue polo shirts and training shoes, Black leggings and club hooded sweatshirts. Club Shorts and polo shirt etc. All Swimmers are reminded to remove any nail polish before they arrive. No jewellery.
Please confirm your preferred pick-up point with your Team Manager, exact time of coach tbc. Any Swimmers who wishes to return home by car with their Parent/s must seek prior consent from their squad TM. All Swimmers are obliged to stay until the end of the Competition and for Medal Ceremony. If a swimmer has a problem or is going to be late for the coach pick up, please ensure that you call your TM as soon as possible.
PROVISIONAL TIMING: all timings below are subject to change, and you will be notified once final details of the Competition are confirmed.

COMPETITION ENTRY FEES (as approved by the ASA London Synchronised Swimming Committee) Figures £8 per swimmer (all swimmers in routines must enter figures) Solo £8 per swimmer Duet £16 per duet Team £23 per team (entry fee is divided between Team members) Transport to Competition approximately £15 per swimmer The total cost for each Swimmer will be added to their next invoice. KIT AND EQUIPMENT :
Figure Competitions All competitors must wear a one-piece plain black suit and plain white cap. Goggles, nose clips and plugs may be worn. Jewellery must not be worn. Routine Competitions Nose clips or plugs may be worn. A Doctor’s note must be presented to the Referee if it is recommended that goggles must be worn. Jewellery must not be worn.
Swimmers should ensure that they have the following items packed in their bag: Club blue swimsuit Club blue hat Black swimsuit – for Figures Plain White Hat – for Figures Competition swimsuits (unless held by TMs) and head dresses At least 2 nose clips Goggles Club shorts White flip flops Towel x 2 or 1 plus dressing gown Shampoo and conditioner Bun nets, hair grips, gelatine, hair band, gel brush Make up (as decided by team coach) Plenty of Drinks (non fizzy) Packed lunch box with healthy snacks to last all day. (No chocolate please) Tampax (if required)
Items of value should not be brought or, if they are, will be at swimmers own risk. Mobile phones are permitted but must not be brought pool side and must be switched off or on silent mode at night. Phones are NOT to be used during the competition or in the changing areas. Lockers are provided (£1.00 refundable).
RULES AND CONDITIONS This Competition will be covering all the competitive events from NAG’s. A list of Rules is available on request. All swimmers must compete in the figures.
FIGURE DRAW The figure draw will be received by Club on the evening of Thursday 15th October 2014 and will be sent to Team Managers by email as soon as available.
CHANGING FACILITIES The London Aquatics Centre has a changing village set up so both male and females get changed together. There is also limited group changing facility and these will be pre-allocated when all entries are confirmed. Lockers are provided (£1.00 refundable). No parents or other are permitted in the changing rooms or poolside.
CATERING The venue has a café. Parents and supporters may wish to visit any of the establishments in Westfield, but a reminder the competition is on a Sunday and the opening hours are restricted. Most utilise the West End timings of 12.00pm – 6.00pm but some open 10.00pm 4.00pm.
RAFFLE The cost of holding competitions has increased over the years. Fund raising is an important means of covering some of the costs. Each Club are requested to contribute raffle prizes to the Competition.
Entry fee to view competition will be confirmed but we understand it is approx. £2-£3 per person. PHOTOGRAPHY Anyone wishing to take photographs or videos must sign the photography register in the spectators’ gallery. This includes any device capable of recording or taking photographs. Persons performing this activity will be required to wear an identifying wrist band. Any Club objecting to any photography must provide this in writing at the time of competition entry. It is also the responsibility of each Club to obtain individual swimmer consent to photography prior to sending their entries.
TRAVEL to venue – Parents
There will not be any seating available on the Coach for Parents. All Parents wishing to attend the Competition should make their own way to the venue. http://londonaquaticscentre.org/how_to_get_here
Public Transport: The London Aquatics Centre encourages people to arrive by public transport.
Stratford Station is next door and has good tube and rail connections and services many bus routes. https://tfl.gov.uk/
By Car: We know that many of you will be travelling by car and it is easily accessible E20 2AQ, from A12, A13, A406. Depending on where you are coming from.
Cars, coaches and buses are encouraged to park in the Westfield Shopping Centre next door. http://uk.westfield.com/london/gettingthere/parkingservices/ gives more information about parking.
All swimmers are reminded that they are representing Reading Royals SSC and the highest standards of behaviour are expected at all times. Swimmers are expected to be respectful towards their team mates, coaches and TMs. Cheering on Club teams and swimmers is encouraged at the appropriate times but support for all swimmers is expected.
Finally, BEST OF LUCK to all competitors – be sure to do yourselves, your coaches and the Club proud. Your very best effort will be good enough, make sure you SMILE and enjoy the Competition.
