Course Syllabus ______Periods -3rd - Digital Electronics- Section ID-DIGELEC-001 Course ID- DIG ELEC 605 1st nine weeks  Lab and Classroom Safety  Chapters 13-15 o Using Technology to produce Artifacts o The Types of Materials Resources and How they are obtained o Processing Resources  Major Assignments - Build/ Lab –Individual Group activity – Teams of 2-5 o Tool Introduction/ Review o Safety trifold poster or Small table Display- Individual or team of up to 3 Project o Duct Tape Boat- Safety Lab / engineering procedure review-Individual o Hand drawn design- Sketching - Individual o Paper Roller coaster- Must have a some form of Technology added to design- Team of up to 5 students- 3 week build o Google Drive introduction/ Review – Individual  Field Trip o Skills USA- Knoxville Fairgrounds 2nd nine weeks  Chapters 16-18 o Manufacturing Products o Constructing Structures o Using and Servicing Products and Structures  Build/ Lab-Group activity – Teams of 2-5 o Fiberglass Subwoofer/ Amplifier Rack Design and build- Individual/ Class activity- 3-4 week design, build, wiring, and installation  Field Trip o KINGS ISLAND- CINCINATTI OHIO

3rd nine weeks  Chapters 19-21 o Using Technology to Communicate o Printed Graphic Communication o Photographic Communication  Build/ Lab-Group activity – Teams of 2-5 o CAD design- Introduction to 3D printing o Pinewood Derby programming and data analysis o Hovercraft design and build  Field Trip o First Robotics Competition

4th nine weeks  Chapters 22-24 o Telecommunication o Computer and internet Communication o Using Technology to Transport  Build/ Lab-Group activity – Teams of 2-5 o Application design- Fingerprint program  Field Trip o Megatronics Roane State Community College
