ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS INVITATION FOR BIDS ESCALATOR AND ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE City of Vicksburg Vicksburg, Mississippi

Sealed bids will be received in the Office of the City Clerk, 1401 Walnut Street, Second Floor City Hall, Vicksburg, MS until 9:00 AM on November 6, 2017 and will be opened in a regular meeting of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Vicksburg at 10:00 AM in the Board Meeting room at City Hall Annex, 1415 Walnut Street, Vicksburg, MS. Mailing address: P.O. Box 150, Vicksburg, MS 39180. Bidders are cautioned that the City Clerk does not receive mail prior to 9:00 AM.

Principal items of work include monthly maintenance and repairs of 6 elevators and 2 escalators.

Sealed proposals must be submitted in duplicate on the form included in the Project Manual and must be accompanied by a bid guarantee of at least five percent of the bid. No proposals may be withdrawn within 60 days after the scheduled closing time.

Copies of the Maintenance Contract and Specifications may be obtained from Lerch Bates, Inc. at [email protected]. A copy is also on file with the Office of the City Clerk.

Bidders must provide proof of compliance with Sec. 71-11-3 Mississippi Code Annotated (E-verify)

Non-resident bidders must provide a copy of their state’s law regarding non-resident bidders.

Bidders must have an Elevator’s Contractor License issued by the Mississippi Department of Insurance. Additionally, Bidders must have a Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility Number and provide that number on the outside of the envelope if the total sum of the bid is over $50,000.00 for the initial term of the contract. If the total sum of the bid is not over $50,000.00, then there must be a statement to that effect on the outside of the envelope.

The City of Vicksburg reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities whenever rejection is in the best interest of the owner.
