NOMINATION FORM FOR THE NACE A.B. CAMPBELL AWARD

This award is presented for the most outstanding manuscript published in Materials Performance or CORROSION during the year by an author(s) who was no older than 35 years of age when the manuscript was submitted for publication consideration. If there are co-authors, then the amount of individual contribution must be indicated by the other authors.

The authors who published in Materials Performance or CORROSION during the year are sent a form letter by Headquarters staff. Authors must state whether or not they wish to be considered for the award, and they must indicate their birth date to ensure that they are eligible. A reply by June 30 is required. This procedure establishes a list of eligible authors for review by the Campbell Award subcommittee. Selection criteria will include author contribution, as well as the technical excellence and significance of the paper.

When one co-author is eligible and the other(s) is(are) not, the ineligible co-author(s) is(are) requested to appraise the contributions by the eligible co-author and send this information to Headquarters. In cases where multiple authors of a paper are selected to receive the award, the monetary portion of the award will be divided among them.

The intent of the award is to honor young authors who contribute significantly to work that is published by NACE. Principal authors of publications with more than one author, especially those publications in which the nominee does not appear as the principal author, should complete the following to ensure proper consideration.
