Postdoctoral Fellowship Application Deadline: August 21, 2008

Instructions and Outline of Application Selection Criteria: We seek to identify the highest quality applicants based on the following criteria:

1. Candidate. The candidate will be judged on scientific promise based on his/her history of research productivity and the strength of his/her recommendations. 2. Proposal. The proposal will be judged on overall scientific merit as well as clarity and persuasiveness. 3. Training potential. The training potential will be judged on the opportunity for strong mentoring and the overall training environment.

Eligibility and Award Requirements: a) Applicants must be a United States Citizen! b) All fellows awarded will need to provide a copy of their graduate diploma, curriculum vitae, publication list, information on past training grant or NRSA support, and proof of permanent residency, description of proposed research to include interest in regenerative medicine and letters of recommendation. c) Applications must be complete to be considered by the committee. Applications missing one or more recommendations a week after the deadline will not be considered. d) Please do not apply unless you are eligible for at least one full year of funding. Must be able to start fellowship on September 1, 2008. Appointment will be for 12 months only, and can not be extended. Suggestions for Research Proposal: A first year research plan should be written in the style of a formal grant application. Background material, specific aims, methods, anticipated results, pitfalls and alternative strategies should be included within the three page limit. LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION FROM POSTDOCTORAL MENTOR
