Freshman Letter to Senior Selves

Assignment: Write a letter to yourself—to be opened three years hence (just before you graduate)—in which you share some of your thoughts on the freshman year you have just completed. You may write about anything of significance, anything you want. You (the future you) are the only one who will read this letter (unless you decide to share it).

Some questions you might consider

 What fears did you enter with? What happened to them? Do you have new worries now?

 What expectations did you bring about high school and NSHS, about yourself as a high school student? Did you meet those expectations?

 As a senior, what do you want people to remember about you as you leave the school?

 Who is an important person (teacher? relative? friend?) in your life right now? (If you want, you can write that person an extra note, telling them some things.)

 What predictions do you have for the 21st century when you read this three years from now?

 What are your favorite books? music? food? etc.

 Anything you want to say to a special friend?

 Anything else you want to tell yourself, remind yourself, congratulate yourself, ask yourself?

 Do you think you worked your hardest as a freshman?
