Holocaust Webquest Journal

Holocaust WebQuest Journal

After you have completed your research, you will have noticed that there were eight different groups of people. Now that you know a little bit about each group, you are going to choose a specific one. Once you have chosen a group, you are going to write a journal entry through the point-of-view of a person in that group. For example, if you choose the Children of the Holocaust, you will have to decide what age you will be and what types of things you experienced in terms of school, daily life, and relationships with others. Once you have chosen your group, you may want to go back to the website and do some extra research on that group. (Recommended!!) You will need to include accurate facts along with appropriate emotional reactions for your chosen person. For example, if you were a Jewish child no longer allowed to attend school, how would you feel? What alternatives would you have for an education? Would you even be concerned about education? You need to maintain the same point-of-view throughout your entire journal entry. Regardless if you are handwriting or typing, the one entry must be 1-2 pages. If you are typing, you must use Times New Roman size 12 font, double-spaced, and 1 inch margins. No exceptions! If you are handwriting, you must use only blue or black pen. There is no need for fancy covers, title pages, or pictures. On the due date, just hand in the rubric along with your 1-2 page journal entry.

Remember to use your rubric as a guideline while writing your journal entry.
