1. From the Executive Office of the President choose ‘Offices within the Executive Office of the President’. Navigate to the ‘Offices within the EOP”. Select one- DO NOT SELECT THE WHITE HOUSE OR THE CABINET!! A. What office did you choose? What is its job? B. Each department/agency’s Web site should promote a recent proposal or accomplishment. What does your department/agency “brag about”? 2. Cabinet departments – Select one of the Cabinet Departments. A. Same as in #1. B. Same as in #1 3. 7. Go to the Treasury Department’s website, then scroll to the bottom of the page and follow link to Federal Mint. Then look for Product Schedule. What is the name of the coin being released on March 19 2013?

8. Go to the Department of Interior's website then link to the National Park Service. Then choose “Find a Park”- By Location-Then Georgia- Then Kennesaw Mountain. How many acres does the park have?

9. Go to the Department of Defense’ s website, then the About DOD. Who is the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff?

10. The departments and agencies in the federal bureaucracy exercise immense power by making and implementing policy. Go to the Federal Register at http://www.gpoaccess.gov/fr/browse.html. Survey the 2013 regulations and find one from today that seems interesting and summarize. A. Name the agency. B. What rule/regulation is being considered? C. Identify persons or an interest or group in society that would be affected by this rule. Do you think that interest or group would support or oppose implementation of this new rule? Explain why. 11.
