Evacuation Routes Fact Sheet

Persons in WATERFORD should go to East Hartford High School to obtain evacuee services. There are two evacuation routes to East Hartford. They are: Follow Rte. 85 North to Rte. 82 West to Rte. 11 North to Rte. 2 West to exit 5A (Main St.). Take a right at the light onto Brewer St. Go to the intersection with Forbes St. and take a left. Follow signs to East Hartford H.S. Or Take I-95 South to Rte. 9 North to I-91 North to Exit 25-26 (Rt. 3 North). Stay to the left (exit 25). After crossing the Putnam Bridge take Rt. 2 West (left lane) to exit 5A (Main St.). Take a right at the light onto Brewer St. Go to the intersection with Forbes St. and take a left. Follow signs to East Hartford H.S.

Persons in MONTVILLE should go to East Hartford High School to obtain evacuee services. There are two evacuation routes to East Hartford. They are: Follow Rte. 85 North to Rte. 82 West to Rte. 11 North to Rte. 2 West to exit 5A (Main St.). Take a right at the light onto Brewer St. Go to the intersection with Forbes St. and take a left. Persons in EAST LYME, LYME and OLD LYME should go to Southern Connecticut State University, Moore Field House in New Haven to obtain evacuee services. Follow I-95 South to Exit 45 to Rt. 10 North. Upon entering New Haven follow directions and signs to SCSU.

Persons in NEW LONDON should go to Windham High School in Windham (Willimantic) to obtain evacuee services. Follow Rte. 32 North to Rte. 66, continue straight on Jackson St. Take a left on Valley St.; take right on High St. in Willimantic. Follow signs to Windham H.S.

Persons in the CITY OF GROTON and the TOWN OF GROTON should go to Kelly Middle School in Norwich to obtain evacuee services. There are three possible routes to Norwich. They are: Follow Rte. 12 North to Rte. 2A West, to Interstate 395 North to Exit 81 East to Rte. 169 North. Follow signs to Three Rivers Community Technical College and Kelly Middle School. Or Take Rte 349 North (CBS Hwy) to I-95 North to Rte. 117 North to Rte. 2 West to Rte. 169 North (Harland Rd.). Turn right at Ox Hill Rd. Take next right onto Mahan Drive to Three Rivers Community Technical College and Kelly Middle School. Or Take Rte. 184 East to Rte. 201 North to Rte. 2 West to Rte. 169 North (Harland Rd.). Turn right at Ox Hill Rd. Take next right onto Mahan Drive to Three Rivers Community Technical College and Kelly Middle School. Persons in LEDYARD should go to UCONN at Mansfield/Storrs to obtain evacuee services. Follow Rte. 12 North to Rte. 2A West to Interstate 395 North to Exit 89. Take Rte. 14 West to Rte. 203 North, to Rte. 14 West, to Rte. 195 North. Follow signs to UCONN Field House. Persons on FISHERS ISLAND will go to Windham High School in Windham to obtain evacuation services. Transportation will be provided from the Stonington dock to the reception center in Windham (WHS).
