Chapter 23 Summary

Julia spends a lot of time teaching Widge the part that she had played for years. Widge notices that Julia seems upset a lot of the time. Widge practiced his part over and over again to make sure it was perfect, even Mr. Shakespeare would watch and correct him.

The night of the rehearsal was terrible. The stage was smaller than the one they have at the globe and Widge could not always remember his lines. Widge was not happy with his own performance but no one else seemed to notice. Widge is told that there is no stage, but they will be acting on the same floor the audience sits on. To Widge, the night felt like a blur. Julia congratulates Widge and tells him he was wonderful after the play was finished.

At the end of the play the Queen meets all of the players. Widge is so nervous he can barely swallow his own spit. When the Queen gets to Widge she stops to compliment him on how wonderful his acting was.

Julia Widge felicita y le dice que era una maravilla después de que se terminó la obra. Al final de la obra de la reina cumple con todos los jugadores . Widge es tan nervioso que apenas puede tragar su propia saliva . Cuando la reina llega a Widge ella para que le felicito por lo maravillosa que era su forma de actuar .
