Job Description 1. JOB INFORMATION JOB TITLE: Group Food Safety & Quality System Manager BAND: 4 DEPARTMENT: Technical REPORTS TO: Group Technical Services Manager LOCATION: Craigavon or Grantham based

2. JOB PURPOSE To maintain the Group Food Safety & Quality Management System, ensuring all customer COPs, changes in legislation and certification standards are integrated within the required time scales.

3. RESPONSIBILITIES 3.1 FINANCIAL Commercial awareness of actions 3.2 STAFF No direct reports 3.3 ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE / REPORTING LINE

4. DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES  Maintain the Group Food Safety & Quality Standards, updating promptly when changes are requested or required, and reviewing to schedule.  Maintain the Group Food Safety & Quality Procedures, making good use of company experts to ensure they are sound. Ensure they are updated promptly when changes are requested or required, and review to schedule.  Provide a central database for all Customer COPs, ensuring their requirements are effectively communicated and integrated within the FSQMS to the required timescales  Establish a mechanism and record system to identify and implement changes in legislation, certification standards, industry guidance, etc.  Provide training and communication on the FSQMS  Establish & report KPIs, including site implementation of the FSQMS, integration of new customer COPs into the FSQMS, & review of the FSQMS  Work with sites to ensure all site FSQMS’s are aligned  Work with sites to drive improvement in group procedures (e.g. KPI reporting)  Provide support in other areas of technical (factory and central functions) as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Essential Desirable  Good level of education, in  3rd level qualification in relevant particular good English spelling and discipline. grammar  Auditing skills  Good attention to detail  Chilled food and high risk experience  Experience in similar FMCG  Poultry industry / agricultural food industry, with good understanding of experience factory operations   Working knowledge of BRC standard, HACCP, Retailer codes of Practice, Food Legislation, and Food Hygiene  Good communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and organisational skills  Team leadership qualities.  Initiative, self-motivated, well organised and assertive.  Logical approach, open minded to other ways of doing things  Ability to travel to other sites.
