Tournament Rules for the SASA Cinco De Mayo Tournament Players must have a Laminated Player’s Pass or Copy of Legal ID Card Tournament opened to USSF Teams, USSSA Teams, College Teams and Military Teams TEAMS THAT ENTER AGREE TO OUR LIABILITY WAIVER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT BRING (6) COPIES OF ROSTER SHEET TO THE TOURNAMENT *One roster sheet must be given to referee crew at each game. Roster is the game report. TEAMS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ADD ANY NEW PLAYERS ON SUNDAY SEMI-FINAL AND FINAL THIS WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION Roster is frozen on Friday May 5th, 2017. Team check-in must be completed before tournament by team management must email forms before tournament begins. *No check-in before the tournament only by e-mail to [email protected] *Referee crew will turn in roster sheets to tournament headquarters for scoreboard *All Saturday games are two 30 minute halves with a 5 minute halftime. Ties remain. *All Sunday games are two 45 minute halves with a 10 minute halftime. Ties remain except on semifinals go direct to kicks and finals have a golden goal end or kicks if nobody scores in overtime. (two fifteen minute overtimes) *Unlimited substitutions at referee discretion. Unlimited Substitution on any stoppage *All uniforms must have a number and all numbers must be different. (except goalie) Goalie can have or not have a number on back of their jersey referred to as Keeper *RED CARDED PLAYER(S) HAVE TO LEAVE THE COMPLEX IMMEDIATELY *Red carded players for violent conduct must pay a $25 fine if they are to continue playing in our tournament and have to report to tournament headquarters to pay fine. *Red carded players for fighting must sit out a game and pay a fine determined by tournament directors. All red cards players must report to tournament headquarters *Referee abuse or assault will result in being eliminated from playing in the tournament and suspended from all games. This could result team being suspended from tournament SASA WE WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY FIGHTING AND SUSPEND PLAYERS *Fighting will not be tolerated during our tournament. This may result as a possible team suspension. If any player(s) are involved in altercation (fight) they will be suspended and will not be able to return. Team fine will be determined by tournament directors *The point system is 3 for a win, 1 for a tie and 0 for a loss. In case of any tie the tie breakers will be: If two teams are tied then head to head first, goal differential second, most goals third, most shutouts fourth and a flip of the coin last. If three teams are tied, then goal differential first, most goals second, most shutouts third, coin toss last. If three teams are tied at the moment one team is eliminated then it reverts back to head to head first. A forfeit win on any situation is a 2-0 win or a decision by the tournament director for special circumstances. NEW RULE TO OUR TOURNAMENT *A Cinco de Mayo Tournament: +Forfeit, No Show or Team Cancellation of Tournament +(A team that does not have a chance to make the semi-finals) If a team forfeits a game during the tournament it will result as a disqualification of tournament All games that are scheduled will be disallowed and will result as a 2-0 score for all games played in that particular group Meaning that each team they have played will result in a score of 2-0 (Forfeit) and 3 points win on scoreboard This will prevent a team being eliminated due to a team dropping their last game due to Forfeit, No Show or Team Cancellation of Tournament This will give all teams a chance to compete and qualify to make the semi- finals on Sunday for the Good of the Game NEW RULE TO OUR TOURNAMENT *Blowout win (allowing a team to score numerous goals for goal differential) so a team can advance to semi-finals *An opponent (that does not have a chance to make semi- finals) allowing free goals during tournament so a team can advance semi-finals This will result as a forfeit and a score of 2-0 and 3 points for a win Tournament Staff will determine if team is allowing another to win by goal differential If a team enters the tournament and has been eliminated by large amount of points (goal differential) this may result in a forfeit of scores and result across the board as score of 2-0 (Forfeit) and 3 points win on scoreboard *After the final the second and first place teams are to go to the tournament tent for the trophy presentation. Please have all your players show up for presentation. *There are championships: Premier, 2A, 2B, 3rd, O30, O40 & COED 1 & 2/O-30’s *Top team on the schedule is home and must change if a color conflict arises. Each team should have alternate jerseys (home/away). Each team provides a game ball and the referee chooses the game ball. Teams should additional equipment available such as goalie gloves, shin guards, shoes, socks and other for their team. *A team may have up to 5 guest players as long as they are registered players and they must have valid player passes or Legal ID Card. There can also be three (3) O-25’s in the O-30’s teams and three (3) O-35’s in the O-40’s. Tournament directors have to approve rosters before tournament begins. Send roster by e-mail for advance check-in to tournament director. DATE OF BIRTH MUST BE LISTED ON ROSTER *Only 18 players can suit up for each match during tournament (up to 25 players on roster can be listed as a team) players are subject to play men’s and co-ed teams *Special rules for Co-ed: no slide tackles, five girls-five men and a goalie, girls goals count for two except penalties count as 1 goal, drop balls are taken by two girls, maximum number of goals per male is two, and in case of FIFA kicks in the final alternating girls and guys will take the shots. Semifinal goes to FIFA kicks if it ends in a tie and final will go overtime with the Golden Goal Rule. The previous sentence applies to all divisions. In FIFA kicks male or female counts for one goal. Goal credit is given to the last offensive player that touches the ball.
