Congratulations to our Symphonic Band for earning a Superior rating at their Concert Festival performance this weekend. In all, four ensembles out of twenty five bands earned Straight Superior ratings in their Stage Performance and THS was one of the four! Also – congratulations to Blake Nutt for earning a Superior Rating as the STUDENT CONDUCTOR of the Symphonic Band!

 Prom tickets will go on sale this week and then again Monday, April 1, through April 5th. Ticket prices will be posted in Homebase. Come out and enjoy “Saturday Night Lights” at Lake Receptions on April 6th.

 The Astronomy Club meeting scheduled for today has been canceled. Our next meeting will be on Monday, April 1st at 2:30.  Art/Photography club will meet today from 2:30-3:15 in the art room.

Word of the Day cauterize Hot Flesh Word of the Day: It's better not to try this at home unless you're a licensed medical practitioner and have the right equipment at hand. 1965 - Cosmonaut Alexei Leonov became the first man to spacewalk when he left the Voskhod II space capsule while in orbit around the Earth. He was outside the spacecraft for about 20 minutes.

1989 - A 4,400-year-old mummy was discovered at the Pyramid of Cheops in Egypt.

1990 - In Tampa, FL, a little league player was killed after being hit with a pitch.

1992 - Leona Hemsly was sentenced to 4 years in prison for tax evasion.

1992 - White South Africans voted for constitutional reforms that would give legal equality to blacks.

1994 - Zsa Zsa Gabor filed for bankruptcy.

1997 - A Russian AN-24 crashed killing 50 people. 2003 - China's new president, Hu Jintao, announced that his country must deepen reforms and raise living standards of workers and farmers.
