SINGLE TOPIC: FACULTY HIRING CRITERIA

Mary Benard thanked the members of the Faculty Hiring Criteria Subcommittee for demonstrating collegial strength in reviewing and recommending criteria for hiring faculty. The most recent draft of the subcommittee’s work will be presented to Instructional Services Council and President’s Council.

Susan Fontana commented that the members of the subcommittee took the difficult task charged by MPRAOC seriously. She described the resulting criteria as a working document that will continue to be reviewed up to the time when budget allows the plan is implemented. The subcommittee will meet once more prior to the end of this (spring 2011) semester and author a description to accompany the draft.
