2. Explain what a sound argument is and how you would test it

3. Understand and explain the difference between deductive and inductive arguments

4. Understand and give examples of how statements are referred to in symbolic logic

5. Understand and explain:

a) the law of negation

b) the law of contradiction

c) the law of excluded middle

d) the law of implication

6. Explain the difference between necessary and sufficient conditions and give examples

7. Explain key philosophical puzzles such as:

a) ‘Theseus’ (which boat is the original one?)

b) The problem of teleportation

c) Plato’s Cave
