PADI OPEN WATER DIVER The PADI Open Water Diver course is thePre-requisites world’s most popular scuba course. Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water, can become a PADI Open Water Diver. Course Content  Online knowledge development to understand basic principles of scuba diving  Confined water dives to learn basis scuba skills  4 open dater dives to review your skills and explore! Students as young as 10 years old can participate in this programme, however our experience shows that a more suitable age is 12 years old. All participants must be able to swim 200 metres non-stop & tread water for 10 minutes unassisted. Course Schedule Courses are conducted on a full-time basis over 2 weekends (1 day the first weekend, & 2 days the following weekend). Periodically during school holidays we may be able to schedule courses over 3 consecutive days.

Knowledge Development Knowledge development is an interactive self-study programme which is completed online prior to the first day of practical training. When you arrive on your first day, we will present you with a quick review quiz which is designed to highlight any areas that your Instructor needs to explain further.

Confined Water & Open Water Dives Dive Zone Tauranga will provide you with modern scuba equipment to use during the course. You only need to supply your own mask & snorkel. Confined water dives are conducted onsite in our heated pool where you will learn & practice your scuba skills. This is followed by 2 shore dives & 2 ocean dives to reinforce the skills you have learnt in an open water environment.
