Student Registration Instructions

Your class will be using a custom-built online educational resource. Once you register, you will have easy access to all your materials with just a few clicks!

To register for your course, you will need:  A Student Access Code (This code can be found on your Online Access card. Example: SIMPLE-FRILL-TONLE-WEIRS-CHOIR-FLEES)  Your school’s zip code  A valid email address

How to Register for and Access Your Course or MyLab

1) Enter the URL for your custom course into your web browser: http://www.pearsoncustom.com/mi/occhl_english_highland/ and click Register. 2) Read the License Agreement and Privacy Policy and click I Accept.

3) Do you have a Pearson account? a. Select Yes if you already have a Pearson account b. Select No if you do NOT have a Pearson Account. c. Select Not Sure if you do not know if you have a Pearson Account.

5) Enter your access code that came with the purchase of your course in the box above and click Next. 6) Fill out the required fields on the Account Information screen and click Next.

7) When successful, you will see a Confirmation & Summary page with your account information. This information will also be emailed to you – be sure to keep this email for future reference. *CLOSE OUT OF THIS SCREEN 8) Go back to your portal at http://www.pearsoncustom.com/mi/occhl_english_highland/ and click the Enroll button. THIS BEGINS STEP II To enroll in your courses, you will need:  A Course ID: (Your instructor will give you this.)  A Username and Password

9) On the next screen, enter the username and password you just registered with. 10) Click the Enroll button to enroll in your first course MyReadingLab.

11) Read the License Agreement and Privacy Policy and click I Accept.

12) When asked if you have a Pearson account, click “YES”. Enter the username and password you just used to register and click Next. 13) Enter the Course ID provided by your instructor and click Next.

14) Review and update your account information if needed and click Next. 15) When successful, you will see a Confirmation & Summary page with your account information. This information will also be emailed to you – be sure to keep this email for future reference.

16) Go back to your portal at http://www.pearsoncustom.com/mi/occhl_english_highland/ and click the Enroll button. You will need to follow steps 8-15 above to successfully enroll in your remaining courses: MyCompLab and MyWritingLab.

17) Once you have enrolled in all of your courses, go back to your portal at http://www.pearsoncustom.com/mi/occhl_english_highland/ and click Login. 18) Enter your username and password and sign in.

9) From here you can enter your courses.

Important Note: Each time you access your course or MyLab, you will need to log in with your Login Name and Password.
