Baby Massage Course

Our classes run weekly for 5 weeks for an hour each session. In these sessions, you will learn how to perform Baby massage with a safe effective method. Don’t worry if you baby needs feeding (or anything else!), babies are welcomed as babies and you will be able to stop at any time and feed him or her if you need to. The power of touch ~ A Bond Builder

 Baby’s first sensory stimulation comes from touch while in the womb.  Baby massage builds emotional bonds which serve as the foundation for emotional & intellectual development for life.  Research has shown massage helps to develop self- confidence & ability to relate to others.  Improves sleep quality, when part of a bedtime routine.  Relaxes & soothes both parent & baby.  Relieves discomfort from colic, gas & constipation.  Stimulates brain development, circulation, digestion & nervous system.  Helps with relief from teething.

Benefits for PARENT/GUARDIAN include:  Fosters more trust and confidence in you and baby.  Develops confidence in ability to handle baby.  Promotes lactation in breastfeeding mums.  Wonderful bonding and relationship dimension.  Helps parent learn about baby’s needs and desires. (non-verbal cues)  Promotes nurturing instinct.

Where: St. Aldhelms Church Centre, Spa Road, Weymouth, DT3 5EW (Behind the church, free parking available) The building is pushchair accessible but we do request for space and hygiene reasons for them to be left in reception. Lift is available for wheelchair access.

What you need to bring with you We provide you with a welcome pack (including oil) to get you started with Baby Massage but you may find helpful to bring the following:  Baby changing mat / towel/ blanket (or similar suitable for laying baby onto the yoga mat)  Hand sanitizer/cleanser  Baby wipes

 Water/drink and a toy (for distraction if needed)

Once payment is sent if you could send an email with Name and DOB of your Baby to [email protected] and a confirmation will be sent. *Terms & Conditions Please note that the deposit is non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the course I will do my best to accommodate you on booking onto an alternative future course. Please be aware that babies must have had their 6-8 week GP check before the start date of the course.
