How we’ve been using the Quality Standards since they’ve arrived in April

We have

 Used the quality standards as an agenda for team meetings and as a supervision tool.

 Provided a questionnaire tool to each member of the team, for them to give examples of good practice. I have developed regulation 44 recording format to meet the new quality standards and space for the manager to feed back to regulation 44 inspectors.

 Redesigned our residential plans and monthly updates in line with the quality standards this tool helps me as a manager ensure we are providing quality care in line with the new standards.

How staff are getting to grips with the Quality Standards

We feel the staff team have a good knowledge of the quality standards gained from team meetings, supervision and workshops we have developed since the introduction of the quality standards

1 How we are using the Guide

We have used the guide with in team meetings focusing on one standard at a time, also through questionnaires handed out prior to supervision sessions for each staff member to reflect on their practice

We feel positive about…..

The preparation workshops helpful in embedding the standards across the service we deliver to improve outcomes for our children and young people.

The standards have assisted me in refocussing on quality assurance as a manager.

In preparation for the standards implementation I have found it extremely helpful that we can contact Ofsted inspectors for advice and guidance.
