Agreement of Previous minutes were agreed. last minute Total Place Pilot – Bryan said someone may come along to one of our meetings. It had been felt that a small target area in Fraserburgh had been portrayed in a poor light at the Community Planning Partnership Meeting where ‘Total Place’ concept was discussed. Bryan felt it was quite stigmatic although Christine thought Cheryl would be upset if she thought that was how it was being portrayed.

Training Session on Evaluation – Christine agreed to put something together for the next meeting.

Action Welcome Bryan welcomed those present and read out apologies.

Conversation The forum split into two groups to speak about - Café How we prevent young people developing problems with alcohol and other drugs? Discussions included –

Setting an example and speaking to our children Saturday night, using street pastors to help keep young people safe Parenting programme It was thought young people first learn about alcohol from us, impact what they see, what are we teaching our kids Young people café in Elgin run themselves Schools – meet the hendersons

Can we help finance alternatives for young people Lots of youth groups, lot on getting people to tap in Tackle shops selling legal highs No alcohol advertising on TV, change way of thinking/perceptions – over time have made a difference in smoking attitudes – can we do this with alcohol and drugs Education – would like to see head teacher come along to our forum meetings, police, press North Aberdeenshire AlcoholCan Drugs we BBV stop Forum shops selling equipment used for drug taking Minute 27th November 2014 Funded Project None Updates
