JOB TITLE CARE PASTOR REPORTS TO Pastor of Care Ministry STATUS Regular Full-Time, Exempt (40-45 hours per week) COMPENSATION Competitive

OVERVIEW OF POSITION The Care Pastor serves with the Pastor of Care Ministry to provide specialized care to Austin Ridge members and lives they influence, particularly in the area of marriage and family. Specialized skills should include coaching, training, and equipping volunteer leaders to offer premarital, marriage, and parent mentoring.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Mature, growing disciple with a consistent devotional life  Meets the spiritual qualifications found in I Timothy, Titus, and I Peter  Possesses an undergraduate degree; seminary degree preferred  Self-motivated  Exhibits a missional lifestyle and mindset  Demonstrates a passion for discipleship through pastoral care  Skilled at pastoral counseling  Able to organize and administer the ministry  Displays strong interpersonal skills  Capable team leader, skilled at identifying and equipping ministry leaders  Fits in well with our current ministry team

RESPONSIBILITIES

Works with the Pastor of Care Ministry to:

 Offer pastoral care and programs that uniquely serve the members of our church body  Expand care ministry by identifying, equipping and caring for ministry leaders

 Provide pastoral counseling that serves engaged couples, marriages, and parents

 Maintain good relationships with leaders and provides continual motivation, feedback, and training  Create, lead, and facilitate ARBC’s premarital, marriage, and parenting educational opportunities

 Assist in the overall spiritual development of Austin Ridge  Create budgets and ministry strategies  Participate in other ministry duties as determined by our Lead and Executive Pastors

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

 Agrees with and commits to ARBC’s Statement of Faith  Is currently or willing to become an active member of Austin Ridge Bible Church  Must pass a background check

Reporting Structure:

 Under the overall guidance of the Elder Board and the Lead Pastor  Reports directly to the Pastor of Care Ministry  A member of: 1. Austin Ridge Ministry Team - Bee Cave Campus 2. Austin Ridge Pastor Team 3. Austin Ridge All Staff

Staff Relationships: The Ridge Care Team includes: 1. Pastor of Care Ministry 2. Women of Care Director 3. Ridge Care Ministry Assistant
