Parking Information 2016/2017 School Year

We anticipate that approximately 66 students will have to share parking spaces this year due to the number of applications turned in during the month of June. While the majority of the senior class will have their own parking spot, we must hold a random drawing to determine who will be required to share a parking space this year if all students choose to park this fall. This drawing will be held on August 2nd in the auditorium at 9 am. Rising seniors are invited to attend.

Based on previous years all students who apply for parking do not always choose to pick up their parking tags, but please understand that we have no way of anticipating exactly how many. In order to maximize the usage of parking spaces we anticipate that all students who are eligible to park will be issued their own space at the beginning of the year, however as more students obtain their licenses it may be necessary to begin partnering students up. Those students and their partners who are randomly drawn will be notified of the approximate date that they will be required to share a space with their partner when they pick up their parking tags. If you have any questions about parking, please contact Dr. Donahue at extension 1005 or by email at [email protected]. Please note that special requests for single parking spots will not be honored.

Here are some specifics on the lottery.

 All students and their partners will be entered into the lottery. If students did not indicate a partner, then they were assigned one for the lottery.  Students will be randomly chosen, both the student chosen and their partner will be required to share a parking space if the need arises.  Students will be required to share a space in the order in which they were chosen, the first pairing of students chosen will be the first to share a space if the need should arise. The security officers will keep a list of students in their office.  Students will be given an approximate date in which they may be required to share a space for planning purposes, but will be allowed to keep their individual space as long as there are spaces available.
