NTS and FATA Secretariat awarded IM|Sciences with 13 Fully Funded Scholarships of Rs. 2.94 Million Press Release (Monday, May 18th, 2015)

Institute of Management Sciences Peshawar has been awarded 13 fully funded need based scholarships under the National Testing Services and FATA Scholarship Programs in four different disciplines at MS Level Session 2015-17. These scholarships of amounting Rs. 2.94 Million were targeted towards the financially needy and talented candidates who were seeking admission at IM| Sciences. These beneficent programs attracted a total of 149 applicants from FATA, KPK and all over the country at large. The Institutional Scholarship Award Committee (ISAC) Meeting members included Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan (Director IM|Sciences), Ms Madeeha Aslam (Program Manager, NTS), Mr. Kaleem Ullah Baloch (Deputy Secretary HED), Mr. Abdul Rehman (Deputy Secretary, SAFRON), Senior Management and Program Coordinators IM|Sciences. The Director IM|Sciences, Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan, welcomed the panel and informed the committee that this year IM|Sciences has disbursed a total of Rs. 182 Million through different financial aid and scholarship programs, among 1454 students which is 51% of the total current students’ strength. He elaborated that this contribution to the society and investment in young generation represent the essence of public spirit. Ms Madeeha Aslam, appreciated the efforts of the Institute for increased number of applicants especially female applicants ratio of 22 %.

Mr. Kaleem Ullah Baloch, further added that all the other universities should follow the distinctive selection procedure of scholarships at IM|Sciences, which ensure the final decision of scholarship award along with the admission merit list. This practice safeguards the most deserving students from selling their meager assets for securing the admissions at quality higher education institute.
