POSITION TITLE: eApp Case Manager DEPARTMENT: Case Mgmt/New Business OFFICE LOCATION: Fort Wayne FLSA STATUS: Hourly REPORTS TO: Team Lead HOURS: Regular Full-Time

Opportunity: Serve as an advocate for the Ash Brokerage agent and their client through expediting the submission of the electronic applications. The eApp Case Manager will monitor progress of cases, facilitating the procurement of outstanding requirements, and provide ongoing status to agent/broker and Ash teams. The eApp team focuses on creating a culture of excellence by continuous focus on improvement of processes and services.

Responsibilities:  The eApp Case Manager serves as a liaison between agents/brokers and insurance carriers to expedite the application and issue process.  Ensures appropriate electronic application has been chosen based on the needs of the agent and client.  Upon receipt of applications verifies agent is properly contracted with Insurance Carrier and meets various State regulations.  Regularly monitors status of individual cases. Follows up on outstanding issues in an endeavor to minimize the length of time between receipt of application, issue and in-force status, contributing to customer satisfaction and corporate profitability. Maintains regular contact with writing agent to advise them of progress of case.  Individual must be able to work in a collaborative team environment that nurtures, motivates and drives positive behavior.  This position may require the review of medical information and pre- underwriting guidelines. Qualifications:  Qualified candidates must possess a positive attitude, team spirit and a consistent drive to deliver industry-leading service.  Must be an exceptional listener and communicator who can effectively convey information both verbal and written.  Individual should be able to read, analyzes, and interprets insurance policies, coverage, documents and regulations as job requires.  Ability to handle stress with fluctuating workloads prioritizing demands for time. Proven strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.  Professional team player who’s honestly and integrity excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.  Ability to effectively present information to colleagues, agents and carriers. Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to exercise good judgment in analyzing customer needs and evaluating alternatives.  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills.  Must maintain a high level of professionalism while assisting the agent with any technical issues experienced with website and escalate any issues to management appropriately.

Education & Experience:  A minimum of three years business experience with a focus in finance, insurance, or medical terminology, or an Associate's degree and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
