Amazing app from PAN Amsterdam- The ‘PAN it App’

Helvoirt, 2 November 2011 - PAN Amsterdam is introducing an amazing app for the iPhone. Users can see what art, antiques and design objects from PAN would look like in their own living rooms, bathrooms or bedrooms and even ‘try on’ the most fabulous jewellery. The app has more than 60 different objects, including a diamond tiara, a 1958 Tulip Chair and a painting by Jan Steen worth € 1.8 million. This morning it was announced that this painting can be seen at the fair and will be for sale there. PAN Amsterdam is the fair of today for art, antiques and design. Every year more than 46,000 art lovers, from young beginners to experienced collectors, are inspired and tempted by the many thousands of objets d’art at the fair. No other art fair in the world has an app like the PAN it App! What’s more this free app provides information about the fair, the anniversary exhibition of 25 tiaras and coronets, the exhibitors and a street map of Amsterdam. The app will be available in the App Store early next week. How does the app work? iPhone users can select their favourite object at PAN from a menu. The image appears with information about the object and the exhibitor. A further screen shows the object on its own against a transparent background. You can save this template, use it for anywhere in your home or on your person and take a photograph. These photographs can then be shared on Facebook and/or Twitter. The senders of the three most original entries will share the following prizes:

 1 x Lunch for two at the Serre Restaurant – Inspired by Ciel Bleu  1 x Annual subscription to Tableau Fine Arts Magazine + 2 invitations to PAN 2012  1 x Workshop for two at Taste of Okura
